The tires that were
placed on the Cadillac were rated at 90YThe means the tire has a load
index rating of pounds per axleThis means the four tires are rated to
carry poundsAccording to the Cadillac internet site the heaviest vehicle
they
manufacture is less than pounds
The “Y” rating indicates
the speed rating given to the tire by the tire manufacturerThe “Y” indicates
this particular tire is rated to miles per hour
These tires are more
than adequate for the car in questionHowever these tire and wheels are not the
standard equipment for this vehicleThe customer wanted to put the larger size
wheels and tires on the car These “low
profile” tires that the customer chose to have installed reduced the size of
the sidewallsThis reduces the “cushion” effect of the sidewallThis allows
the tire to compress against the wheel during curb, holes or road hazards
contactDamage will result to the wheel from these contacts
Don Rucker has not
been given the opportunity by the customer to inspect the wheels or the
supposed damage to the wheels; however, it is our belief that any damage to the
wheels was the result of some type of road hazard contact
This type of wheel
damage is very common on vehicles with low profile tires

In Response to Complaint # ***
On the complaint #
*** the complainant states that the repairs were done by Don Rucker Wheel
and Tire on 8/22/He also states that he had a flexplate issue on
10/21/This is
months after the original repairsIt is then another five
months and a few days before *** *** is formally notified by the customer
With the manner in
which the complainant handled this situation, it makes it impossible for ***
*** to have inspected the vehicle at the time of the alleged damageThe
complainant did not handle the situation in timely mannerAlthough, the
vehicle was beyond the warranty period, *** *** has always prided itself on
maintaining a strong customer satisfaction rateHowever; without being
notified of this issue until five months after the problem, it is impossible to
inspect and gather all the necessary factsThere is no evidence that the
engine was installed improperlyThere are numerous reasons a flexplate can
failThe flexplate is the original flexplate off of the original engine that
had over milesThe cause of the failure is undetermined
On *** ***’s invoice the general
disclaimer states that the labor and parts are warranted for months or
milesThis claim has doubled that amount of timeWe are not aware of the
mileage at the time of the flexplate failure
Don Rucker Wheel
and Tire regrets that the customer had additional issues but at this time it is
determined that *** *** has no liability, and that compensatory assistance
is not available in relationship to this complaint

I am rejecting this response because: My letter to the the business, along with the Revdex.com complaint, clearly state that I was willing to let the business inspect the part and discuss the issue with the vendor who repaired the vehicle Also, if the part was showing signs of wear when the business had my vehicle in their shop, I believe they would have insisted the part ALSO be replaced (in addition to the rebuilt engine) Lastly, this is NOT a warranty issue They did not replace/repair this part I purchased a rebuilt engine They did not put it in correctly They caused damage to my vehicle because of their negligence That is what this complaint is about
