From: [redacted] <[redacted]>Date: Sat, Jan 24, 2015 at 2:34 PMSubject: Case ID [redacted]To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>In response to [redacted] dispute, I would to point out that the amount that we agreed on was $11,500.00 not $12,500.00. The attachment or “copy of the contract” was never shown to me in previous meetings, and I have my own documents signed from the company. I have proof from my [redacted] checking account that I had to charge my account money so that I could remove trash that was left on the property. If the company removed all the roofing trash then their wouldn't be a reason to pay a trash removal company trash cans to remove trash left on the property. The roofing job was completed with the wrong materials. Our agreement was that the roof would be competed using 2 x 12 beams beams the company used 2 x 6We also agreed to have 16 inches between each beam the company decided to have 24 inches between each beam. Instead of using a quality rubber roof the company choose a cheap alternative. When rain occurs the roof isn't built properly so water stays on the top of the roof. All of these things I have listed have been done wrong and is a safety hazard. If the roof is done incorrectly then it can cave in and cause a harmful incident.. Also many other thing wrongs as per report the  others roofers.

To The Revdex.com,
We are going out to [redacted] property on Wednesday May 7, 2013. We will make any necessary repairs to the roof.

Dear Revdex.com,

On 3/17/2014 McGinnis Roofing installed a rubber roof on my home. It started leaking on the first rainy day afterwards 26 days later. It took them until 4/21/2014 to send some one out after I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. I asked that they send someone out to make the repair, and to have a supervisor come and inspect and sign off on the work. They came out on4/21/2014. They were on my roof for 15 mins, and they put a black gauze like material in places. The first rain after that, the roof leaked worse than it did the first time. I called them immediately after that, and they said someone would be here the weekend of 5/2/14. It's now 5/6/14 and no one has been out or returned my call.
I would like to have my money refunded to me in full. $1495.00 so that I can find a proper roofing company to repair my roof.

To Whom It May Concern,
This is in response to the complaint we received  regarding [redacted]. We are also disputing this complaint. The total amount of the job that was completed was $ 12,500.00. I am attaching a...

copy of the contract to this email. The left hand corner of the contract I put a sticky there to block credit card numbers. That amount was agreed upon by [redacted]. At no time did we charge her credit card without prior authorization from customer. I am not understanding when she says " he also took $ 1,300.00 as his own" of the $ 3,500. The job was to be paid in 4 installments with that request from customer. We agreed and customer was very appreciative that we could accommodate her request. [redacted] had a [redacted] handling all aspects of this job. He was the one we called to let him know each date the monies owed were going to be deducted from the account. Not once did he have any objection with that. The job was done correctly with the correct materials. I am also disputing the customers claims that she had to rent dumpsters to remove all of the roofing debris that were left at the property. Our company did remove all roofing trash and debris from the property. When we were doing the roofing work the customer was having the property gutted inside, the property was in shambles. The debris she had to rent a dumpster for were the debris that were coming from inside her property. That was a separate project that we were not involved in at all. On the contract it is stated that we will remove all job related trash and debris and that is what we done. We are in the process of trying to reach customer. The phone calls go to voicemail. Since voicemail box is full we can not leave a message. We will have our office try to contact [redacted] to set up a day and time to go back out to property to show the customer everything was completed in the right and professional manner. Our customers are our #1 priority. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact the office.Thank You,

Review: Roof was a tear out and installed on 6-2007 with 15 year guarantee, they wrote on contract that no need for coating for 5yrs. First noticed it leaking on 8-27-2011 when water was cascading into room below. It ruined ceiling and wall below. Roofer contacted and responded on 9-2-11 to service. Roof again has water cascading into room below Nov. 2012 again ruining ceiling and wall. Roofer called and on 11/23/2012 serviced roof. 4/28/14 roof found leaking again. Clearly the roof was never properly installed in the first place.

Called roofer and left a message, they did not return call. Called numerous times the next day and could not get through to anyone and left messages which were not returned. Finally got through to them and they stated they would be here on 5-1-14 to repair. They did not show and in the afternoon I called and asked when they would be responding and was told someone would call. No one showed and the person I was told would call,l did not call. The next day called several times and finally got through to them and was told that the person was on the other line and that he would return my call. Again hel did not call. On 5/5 left a message through their website, which again was not responded to. Finally later in the day I got through to them again and they said they could come out on Tue 5/6 to repair.

Their excuse for never returning calls was that they are busy. They claimed that they were not avoiding me and that they intended to fix the roof.

On 5/6 they again did not show up and when called at 2:34 pm they claimed they would be there within one hour. Again no one showed or called to let us know they could not make it. I left a message that night saying I would report them and have to take legal action if they where not going to fix the roof. As of this writing no one has called.

FYI: On their website they claim to be a member of your organization, but your website says they are not a member.Desired Settlement: Repair or Replace the roof which was obviously not properly installed in the first place or refund money paid for the roof.

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: On 3/7/14 McGinnis Roofing put a new rubber roof on my property. The rubber roofing is guaranteed for 20 years. 26 days later the roof began to leak on the first rainy day since it was installed. They also displaced a wire in the back yard and did not return it to its original placement. When I call them about the work, they put me on hold and don't return. I am a senior citizen and I feel like I am being treated unfairly.Desired Settlement: I would like someone qualified from McGinnis Roofing to come and repair the work. Then I would like the work to be evaluated and approved by a supervisor or the owner, and I want that evaluation in writing, including the names of the workmen and supervisor. I would also like the work guaranteed.

Thank You,

Review: After the new roof was installed by McGinnis and our room was decorated, the roof began to leak. Note, the leak was in the same location as it was prior to the new roof. My husband and I informed McGinnis immediately and Over the course of at least two years, we made countless calls and left countless messages as the damage to our home became worse and worse. They came out a couple of times with no resolution to the leaks and damage. We made several appointments for them to come and each time either my husband or I stayed home and no one from the company came. Each time we called they had another excuse. Today, Feb.13, 2014 we have many leaks and thousands of dollars worth of damage. I would love to be able to provide pictures of the situation.Desired Settlement: We want them to pay us to hire another roofer and pay for ALL of the damages their faulty workmanship and failure to stand by the warranty has caused us. I am a 66 year old asthmatic as well as a Type 1 Diabetic. I have a difficult time breathing in the damaged area as it is my bedroom. In addition, this nightmare is causing me a great deal of STRESS which is compromising my health as well as my 76 year old husband's health. We have been powerless to receive appropriate service from McGinnis.
