I have never had such a scary and uncomfortable experience in a business transaction as I had when I went to McGrath Acura last night to purchase a car I had spoke with the sales rep Marty [redacted] several times in the past week and everything was all set as far as the priceI also already had my financing already, so I thought last night I was going to sign the papers and drive my car home Once we sat in the office, Marty right away said I had to go through Acura's financing if I wanted the $rebate I asked where it stated that He could not provide paper work stating that He went and got his manager and his manager, Chase [redacted] , was not able to provide that eitherThey both just kept saying that they could beat the rate I had, which was very low I was not buying it nor was my boyfriend After coming in and out of the office several times Chase produced some document that supposedly said in writing I needed to go through Acura's financing to get the rebate, although we never saw that anywhere on the paperwork I asked to then go over the numbers Chase provided me with numbers that were different than what Marty and I spoke about (which I have in writing) I said forget it, lets goMy boyfriend went to take the paper work regarding the rebate with us and Chase said he could not It was property of the dealer It said that no where on the paperwork He got up and went to grab the paperwork out of my boyfriends hands My boyfriend kept itIn the meantime Chase closed the door to the office and cornered us against the wallI was able to walk around him and Marty and open the door and we left Chase, Marty and another man followed us out of the dealer and stood in front of our car until we got in and pulled out of the lot Chase threatened us by shutting the office doorHe was being defensive and couldn't support the lies that he was telling us Never in my life have I experienced anything like that and I conduct real estate transaction every single day There are plenty of other Acura dealerships I can go to, I do not need this kind of treatment as a consumer

As I previously stated, we do not have a customer by
the name of *** ***, and I can't search by VIN, because
there isn't enough information on the vehicle
Either this is not our complaint, or Mr*** did not
purchase
the car, and is therefore not the owner &/or not our customer
As I am sure you are aware, if he is not the registered owner of
the vehicle, we would have difficulty discussing any issues with
him directlyThe registered owner/purchaser would need to be involved
in any settlement or discussions
But until I get more accurate information and can investigate this,
I can't do anything to help rectify this complaint
Please let me know if you have more information
Thanks

I do not make up stories
On two occasions I did talk face to face directly to the Manager- On other two occasions I talked to someone that, supposedly, is in charge of investigation, he was going to call me
I do not have the energy to follow up on some additional 'wild goose chase'

We are not able to reimburse the customer the $because there is $dollar balance owed from the down payment promisedWe do not have towing capabilities and are not able to pay upfront for the tow since we are not certain at this point what has caused the failureWe would be willing to
perhaps split the cost of the tow if the transmission shop determines the repair is covered under the warrantyThis vehicle was purchased "as is" and the customer declined the extended warranties offered at time of purchaseAs a gesture of goodwill we did pay for the original transmission replacement but at this point are not responsible for any additional repairsAny issues concerning the transmission repair and tow should be directed towards the transmission shop who did the replacement

I have never had such a scary and uncomfortable experience in a business transaction as I had when I went to McGrath Acura last night to purchase a car. I had spoke with the sales rep Marty [redacted] several times in the past week and everything was all set as far as the price. I also already had my financing already, so I thought last night I was going to sign the papers and drive my car home. Once we sat in the office, Marty right away said I had to go through Acura's financing if I wanted the $1000 rebate. I asked where it stated that. He could not provide paper work stating that. He went and got his manager and his manager, Chase [redacted], was not able to provide that either. They both just kept saying that they could beat the rate I had, which was very low. I was not buying it nor was my boyfriend. After coming in and out of the office several times Chase produced some document that supposedly said in writing I needed to go through Acura's financing to get the rebate, although we never saw that anywhere on the paperwork. I asked to then go over the numbers. Chase provided me with numbers that were different than what Marty and I spoke about (which I have in writing). I said forget it, lets go. My boyfriend went to take the paper work regarding the rebate with us and Chase said he could not. It was property of the dealer. It said that no where on the paperwork. He got up and went to grab the paperwork out of my boyfriends hands. My boyfriend kept it. In the meantime Chase closed the door to the office and cornered us against the wall. I was able to walk around him and Marty and open the door and we left. Chase, Marty and another man followed us out of the dealer and stood in front of our car until we got in and pulled out of the lot. Chase threatened us by shutting the office door. He was being defensive and couldn't support the lies that he was telling us. Never in my life have I experienced anything like that and I conduct real estate transaction every single day. There are plenty of other Acura dealerships I can go to, I do not need this kind of treatment as a consumer.

After reviewing all of our records, Ms. [redacted] purchased a 2007 [redacted] on November 15, 2014. The vehicle was sold "AS IS". The items that Ms. [redacted] is requesting for us to repair are maintenance items. These issues are...

not safety concerns that would prohibit us from selling the vehicle. At the time of purchase we showed Ms. [redacted] several other vehicles that would have been less expensive to maintain, however Ms. [redacted] was persistent about purchasing a [redacted]
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at [redacted]
