We purchased a leather couch and loveseat from McGregor's in Coralville We were told by the salesperson the quality of the leather was high, and such that it would not wear or wrinkle for a much longer amount of time than most leather products When we had the furniture delivered, we quickly realized this was not true The quality was poor and appeared cheap and we were simply unhappy with the purchase We told them so , and spoke to the manager, who essentially told us that their sales person didn't say that; that we were not being truthful, and that nothing would be done to give us satisfaction with our purchase or their product We had multiple phone calls and conversations about our complaint There was also a mechanical problem with the loveseat, which they came out to examine but never fixed On that issue we were told they would go back and seek a part and come back out again We never heard from them again We wrote a letter to the owner of the company to express our displeasure with our purchase and what we were told by the manager, and to request some assistance with our situation We never heard anything In the end we were stuck with the couch and loveseat we were unhappy with, and it felt like since McGregors got paid they didn't care if we were satisfied or not We were made to feel like we were the problem It is not how I expect to feel as a customer We will not buy furniture there again
I would NEVER recommend anybody to go to this businessWe purchased some very expensive dressers from McgregorsThe drawer guide broke after months and we ordered a replacementIt took MONTHS for the replacement part to come in and when the technician arrived to install them they were the wrong guidesMcgregors customer service was extremely rude and offensive to try and work withI have never been talked to so rudely by somebody in management before in my lifeMcgregors tried to make the drawer guides they bought incorrectly work on our dresser and our drawer does not function properly stillI wouldn't recommend this store to my worst enemyHORRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
