I decided to try an auctioneer after one of the moving companies have me a recommendationWhile they didn't promise any particular pricing they auctioned off the furniture and advised they would send me $half of what it sold for I was shockedThe deal is 50/50.Then it took many calls to find out the status of what they soldMost items they said they were able to only get $I would have been better off donating everything When I asked them to hold what was not sold as I would arrange to have Habitat for Humanity pick it up and it mysteriously disappearedThis is most likely a company who you really don't know how much they get for selling at their weekly auctions unless you physically attend I would advise everyone to NEVER use this company and either sell it yourself or Donate

Review: When [redacted] came to my home to preview what I wanted him to auction. We discussed conditions of sale (what I would accept for certain peieces). I expected to receive a written agreement along with a list of what he would take to sell. Instead, after numerous delays and cancellations, a truck and two men showed up and took my belongings, but left me no bill of laden or contract...nothing, nada, zilch! I called the office and spoke with "[redacted]" numerous times to get some kind of record of our agreement and a list of what was to be sold. She promised to send something each time I called, but nothing ever arrived. Finally, I was able to drive out and ask for the list in person. Instead, I was handed (might add rudely handed) a check for what they had sold. The items that I had given a "won't take less than" number were a solid cherry drop leaf table with one leaf and a full set of pads (seats 10-12 people). There were six over-sized Queen Anne chairs (two with arms) that date back to 1850. They had recently been refurbished ($1,000). I had asked him not to accept less than $500 for the table, leaf and pads and no less than $1,000 for the chairs. He sold the whole set for $150.00. Some people have indicated that he may have bought them himeself to resell. I think this man's practices need to be scrutinized. I would like to be compensated for the table and chairs as per our agreement. The rest can be thrown on the fire when he dies and goes you know where! .....as I have aged I notice people trying to take advantage of me. I would like to see this person stopped from hurting others. Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like him to pay me what we agreedon for the table and chairs, or return them.
