Review: McGuire was contracted to do the cremation of my mother.

McGuire Cremation was contracted to do the cremation of my mother on April 2, 2013 [redacted] picked up my mother's body. We were told it would be completed in 2 weeks. McGuires received the payment on April 16,2013. I made 3 calls to them asking about my mother's ashes, [redacted] kept telling me they were doing the death certificates, and they would be taking her down shortly. He would call me when we could pick her up. This went on until May 11,2013 when my brother [redacted] went to his business to speak to [redacted] assured us again that he would deliver her remains to our home on Thursday,May 13,2013.On Tuesday May 11,2013 I received a call from Stanislaus County Coroners Office notifying me that McGuire will not and could not do the cremation of my mother as he could not get the permits.My mother's body laid in his building along with 16 other family members of the other victims of this scam. Several of them were decomposing! This is an outrage,we are already grieving for the loss of a loved one and this business comes in and takes advantage of us. Desired Settlement: Loss of State License and full refund.

Review: Taking the body of a loved one and not fulfilling job duties

Saun McGuire of McGuire Cremation & Funeral Services took the body of my loved one on April 2 2013. We gave him more then enough time to return the ashes back to us. He would not accept our calls, nor would he return any of our calls. He took in the bodies of 17 families family members and did not properly cremate the bodies as he was paid to do. He did not want to pay the $11.00 fee for the permits to burn the bodies. He knowingly continued to take the bodies of our loved ones knowing that he wasn't going to pay the fee to fulfill their last wishes. This is very disheartening to know that not only do I have to grieve for the loss of my loved one, but now I grieve more thinking that my grandmother is not at peace. It's hard for me to imagine her there with all of these other bodies, wondering if he has defiled her, just decomposing. He not only did this to my family but he did this to 16 other families as well. Please do not take your loved ones to this facility. Please do not allow him to do this to even more families.Desired Settlement: I want federal charges brought against this man, and I want him to lose his license to practice. He should not only be losing his license for the county but he should be losing them for the state and the USA.
