Review: I received a call from McGuire Management Group stating that I owed $300-$400 for a payday loan four years ago. They did not have the exact amount, nor could they tell me exactly when the loan was taken out. I was threatened with a checking account lien and litigation costs in the amount of $2900 if the $1310 was not paid by 2 p.m. EST today. The company seemed legitimate because they had my sister's and my father's names as references I had allegedly used, plus my wife's social security number/address. I never took out this loan, nor did my wife. The woman from MMG convinced me that I should pay this amount to avoid further costs and trouble in court, so I paid it.Desired Settlement: This scam should be investigated and shut down asap. There are many other people who to posted similar claims online, all targeted by MMG and threatened.
