Hello I am responding to complaint # [redacted] .The customer brought there Dodge Avenger in to our dealership on 6/08/2015.And advised the service writer that they have had the avenger at two other shops,and they told the customer that they needed a A/C evaporator.We did verify that the evaporator was bad.We replaced the bad evaporator and performed a leak down test for ten minutes and it passed.Then fill A/c system to full charge and test drove and check the vent temps and they were within spec.Customer called back on 6/10/and advised us the A/c was not working again.Customer brought car back in on 6/11/2015.At that time we performed a leak down test and found the condenser was now leaking.Advised customer of needed repair and the price of $plus tax with $discount included.Customer picked up there car on 6/15/with out anymore repairs done.Service adviser tried to call customer on 6/17/and left a message.on 6/18/service adviser called back and talked with customer and offered that the customer pay $plus tax and we would cover the rest of $434.00.The customer was very appreciative and would call back to schedule a time to have the repairs done

Hello and thanks for taking the time to respondI didn't reply within the day becuz I am not computer savy at all and to be honest I am so frustrated over this situationThe only documentation I have is my receipt and I could get my phone records to show how many times I have tried to come to an agreementWish I could have recorded them so u would know that what they are saying is untrueAnd I refuse to pay them another dimeI work very hard for my money and was totally taken advantage ofNot sure if anyone would pay them more if they were in this positionThank u for helping me

Tell us why here...Hello my name is Mike S*** the service manager at McHugh Chrysler.On *** ***s vehicle when purchased the vehicle was as is and we did replace tires and rear wiper and did brakes and repaired check engine light.Then the vehicle was back in for a check engine and used
car department replaced a egr valve no charge to the customer.Then the vehicle had a recall that was performed .Not long after the recall was performed they called and brought it back in and we found the recall parts bad.We had to wait for those parts because they were on back order.During that time the customer was in a loaner car from McHughs .When parts arrived we installed them and returned vehicle to the customer.When customer had another issue with stalling per Chrysler we installed a fight recorder and returned it to the customer to drive and record any problems they was having.Cust returned to recorder and there was not enough info recorded .So then we had them bring the van back in and we performed diagnostic on the vehicle again and found a different issue.And repaired at no charge to the customer.And provided a loaner car again.I am the service manager and I have not been contacted at all about any other issues with the vehicle sence the last time the vehicle was at the dealership.All problems in the past have been fixed.We have not had the Vehicle longer than the customer.If they would like to call and make an appointment for us to look at it again we will do that.But there will be a diagnostic fee to do so.And like I said earlier we have always provided a loaner car for them so they would have something to drive.Thank you,Mike S***

I made serveral attempts to resolve this issueI received a message to write u a letter to further disputeI feel I am not getting anywhere cuz each reply that mchughs makes is just to save themselves from being accountable for their actionsNo person in their right mind would pay them more money after paying them $For absolutely nothingWhat they did was totally dishonest and they are still being dishonest with u to cover their wrong doingsMy question is this would u pay them another dime if you was in this situation? That's a lot of money to begin with then to try to charge more for something they didn't fix? I'm not sure I know anyone that would but since I'm just an average everyday person a business is allowed to take advantage of me and my hard earned moneyThank u for your time and I honestly thought at first u was going to get to the bottom of this and see to it that they never do this to anyone else

I am rejecting this response because: it was taken back in every time for the same problem ....stalling! Check engine light still on every time! Each time we brought it in for the same thing they replaced something on it trying (so they say) to fix the stalling problem but each time we got it back it would do the same thingThey have had this van more than we haveThey have kept it for months one timeThat's car payments we had to make on a car we did not haveRegardless of the loaners we still made a car payment on a car we picked and didn't haveThey sold us a lemon and they know they didThey are not fixing it right because it's prob very expensive to fix so they kept doing cheap little things to shut us upBut still came back with the same problems. As far as there 4 wheel drive concern it is still covered under the manufactures power train warranty of which they are welcome to bring it here or any Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Service Department.Thank you A.J. Tell us why here...Each time the vehicle was brought in we did fix problems that we found at no cost to the customer.While providing them with a nice car to drive so they would not be without a vehicle.We are more than happy to look at the vehicle again and if it is something that we have already repaired and it is the problem again.We will repair it with no cost to customer.But if it is something different than before the customer will have to pay for the repairs.The vehicle has not been back for 3 months.And I have not been contacted about a on going issue.And like said before the one repair took so long because the part to repair it was on back order.And the vehicle could be driven.Thank you Mike S[redacted]

Good Afternoon, I am A.J. M[redacted] with McHugh Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Zanesville my position with our company is sales manager. I am responding on Complaint ID [redacted]. In reference to this complaint I am attaching a copy of the Customer Owed Document of which the customer had signed at...

the time of taking delivery they acknowledged and  agreed that there were no items or repairs promised to them. We have this form in place and include it in every retail purchase, and it also state’s that if the promises are not completed within thirty days of purchase it is void. Before the vehicle was sold we performed a 82 point Safety Inspection the tires had 7/32 tread life of which is good condition and 4 wheel drive was also working correctly. The customer had only brought attention to myself that it had a rough ride and asked if we could possible swap tires from another unit. I explained to them at that time it would be very hard to do such based on getting that exact package in and  that it was highly  unlikely that we could do such and I offered to sell them tires at our cost. We have not had a vehicle in stock with that size  rim and tire the only one that we have had has been off the lot for 110+ days. The complaint at hand also speaks of the $250.00 Document fee of which is a standard fee that everyone is charged and as I stated  earlier there 4 wheel drive was in working order when they took delivery of their vehicle. The vehicle would still be covered by the Manufacture’s 5yr 100,000 powertrain warranty. The Customer may contact myself to discuss the  resolution  to this concern of which I will list below. Resolution:We here at McHugh Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram agree to swap the tires and rims to a  17in wheel with a scheduled appointment the equipment to be installed will not be new tires and rims will be off the unit that has been off the lot. service department did call back  tried to offer me an agreement to fix my car for another $350 if I would delete my situation that I posted on Facebook that same day. I did not and will not agree to pay them another dollar for something that they claimed was the problem and they fixed. I have talked to so many employees there they all seem to be passing the buck so they will not have to accept responsibility for their mess up. Paul the man said he caught a lot of heat for my Facebook post and they would discount the price as long as I deleted my post. Well I did not and will not. As everyone should beware that they took complete advantage of me and I still after $1260 do not have air. I refuse to pay them another dime. As far as I am concerned they did not even fix anything on my car be cuz it's still in the same shape as when I dropped it off. Anyone in this situation would feel the same.
