McIntyre Remodeling was contacted by *** *** to check out a broken kitchen cupboard shelf and an outdoor set of steps she wanted movedWe told her that we have a #minimum charge to do any workShe agreed, so we set up a time to look at the issues and told her that if she wanted we
would be prepared to do the work neededAfter looking at the job, we told her that the steps couldn't be simply moved but had to be completely rebuilt and it would cost an extra $She agreed to the priceAfter reinstalling the steps to a location she wanted, she had us move them again because she didn't feel her dog couldn't hit the stairs head on as it comes out the back door.
Two days after we did the job, got paid and she was supposedly satisfied, even though it cost her so much between the other contractor and us moving the steps around because of her indecision, she called to tell lus there was something that she didn't likeWe told her would come back and see what we could do with it when we had some timeBecause we feel that she would never be satisfied we are reluctantto go back

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: This is simply not true They came only once and did not tell me they were increasing the price until they took the steps off the porch and I did not have a safe way off the porch They did not give an estimate and come back They did not give an estimate until I was over the barrel without attached steps They did not move the steps twice I told them the needed trajectory of the steps before they started work Changing the trajectory for a safe way down for my dog was the entire point of moving the steps which I explained thoroughly before they started
I NEVER said I was satisfied!!!!! I did pay them because I found them very difficult to work with and I wanted them to leave I would not have paid them except I thought my son would be able to move the top board of the steps over
When I examined the steps the next a.mI realized this was not possible and called them immediately Tim said he had planned to call me himself and they would come back and fix the top step before the end of the week When they did not do so, I called at the end of the week Tim said, without apology, they had been "busy" but would come back the next week They did not come back the next week so I called again at least twice and I emailed They did not come back ever beyond the first visit and they did not return my calls or my emails So this is the summary - they charged $instead of the promised $150, did a shoddy, ridiculous-looking job on the top step, gave me dates by when they would fix it twice and didn't do so and didn't bother returning calls or emails Perhaps they think they need to keep promises to a senior woman They are simply not telling the truth
