McKay Flooring

This company was hired to do a complete bathroom Reno and finish some flooring that another contractor left unfinished. They were to begin the job on Monday July 28th, but Saturday prior to 28th early in the morning I received a email from [redacted] asking for 400.00 as the installer was stuck in Edmonton. I agreed to pay the 400.00 under one condition that the job started Monday the 28th at 8:00am. He responded with a promise that it would. Job did not start till Tuesday, but he sent me a email saying I would get a 10% discount because of it. The first day working ( Tuesday 29th) I gave them 300.00 again 200 of which was for supplies and 100.00 for fuel. My quote was for 3250.00 for labour as I purchased all the supplies. I never did get a written quote, but I do have text agreeing that it's the original quote. As the job progressed they informed me a plumber was needed. At that point I sent a message that if the job was over budget to stop, he sent back everything was on budget. Now that the job was somewhat completed on Monday aug 11th( no mirror, toilet paper holder, towel rack hung) [redacted] texted looking for another 500.00 for the plumbing that was invoiced to me already ( [redacted]) [redacted]. According to calculations I owe them 225.00 and I subtracted 100.00 for door lock and labour, 180.00 for my hours cleaning the grout that I took pictures to the tile store [redacted] and 40.00 for the supplies to clean the excess grout. [redacted] Then on aug 16th 5 days after the job was "completed" I received a quote by email for almost 4500.00. Aug 17th I got a voice mail threatening to lien my house or vehicle if I dont pay them 1200.00 plus 500 plumbing that is already on my bill from them and was part of the last 1200 I owed. I replied to it by email and told them I will pay the plumbing bill when I get proper document from the plumbing company as they had 3 different plumbers show up and weren't ready or here to tell the plumber what was needed. Desired Settlement** because of all the unneeded plumbers showing up I want the actual bill from the company to be sure I'm not paying for all these extra calls.
