I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

*** ***Enclosed Message:The company was very dishonest in my own opinionWhen I met ***, I never told him I dug the footings myselfI told them they are preexisting when I bought the property so is the porch where the footings, were they trying to piggybuck on top off, which he is a contractor and he knows how the footings has to be circular and to be by codeBy looking at the porch that the footings are only inches around circular and the building inspector that came to my house told me that they can't piggybuck on top of those footingsIf he is a licensed contractor, which the City of Milwaukee told me his license is suspended, he should know what is proper and what is notThey should not ask me because I'm not a contractor and I never told anything that I dug anything on the porchFYI, I hired him to build him the porch overhang not a porch itselfI paid him $which is half of the deposit, and we have many text and proof that he never did anything, he never did anything and we have written proof in text by ***, why should they be able to keep my deposit as they have done nothingFYI the project is done already and I built it by myselfEver since they kept putting our project off and not starting in the timely matter as they stated per text conversation and contract, they have breach the contract, and some of their text they told us that they were involved in other projects and couldn't come and start oursI feel I should get a full refund because they did nothing, and actually we should get more than a refund for the stress and emotional damages they caused usThis company is very dishonest, they lie and manipulate things to benefit themselves

In short, Mr. [redacted] met the owner of [redacted], Mr. [redacted] at Menards and discussed a project with him.  Mr. [redacted] wanted his front porch rebuilt.  Mr. [redacted] sent 2 workers out to Mr. [redacted]’s house to inspect the project.  At that time Mr. [redacted], in the course of discussion about the...

project, volunteered that he had dug and poured the footings himself.  Based upon this representation, a quote was given to Mr. [redacted] in the amount of $1,200.00 with a deposit of 50% down.  Mr. [redacted] attempted to negotiate the price down to $1,000.00, but Mr. [redacted] refused to reduce the price.  Upon receipt of the deposit, Mr. [redacted] directed his workers to return to the job site to further inspect the work already done and to make a list of the materials needed.  Upon further inspection, it was determined that the footings which were dug by Mr. [redacted] did not meet code, and that they would have to redug, creating more work and increasing the cost.  When Mr. [redacted] was advised of this, he refused to agree to a cost increase and demanded that [redacted] honor its price which was obtained through misrepresentation.  [redacted] refused and offered to refund Mr. [redacted]’s deposit, less the cost of the time spent by [redacted]’s workers.  Mr. [redacted] rejected this offer also, and the parties reached an impasse.  Nothing more was heard from Mr. [redacted] until we received your letter.  [redacted] remains willing to refund the unused portion of Mr. [redacted]’s deposit, which is about $350.00, but Mr. [redacted] has rejected that offer and stands firm in his demands that [redacted] complete the job.  If I can assist you any further, please let me know. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANTS[redacted], J.D.2980 S. I am in receipt of your letter dated 11/7/17.  Please note that Ms. [redacted] signed the contract on 8/6/16 and the furnace was ordered but on back order until approximately 8/25/16, when it was received.  Installation commenced shortly thereafter and completed on 9/1/16.  The...

final invoice was submitted for payment on that date, and the warranty for labor was 90 days from the date of completion.  Since then Trinity has been called out for various issues which were all minor in nature and not related to the installation or the performance of the unit, and went with no charge.  Since the warranty had expired approximately 1 year ago, Ms. [redacted] was told that there would be a trip and labor charge, which she did want to pay.  Accordingly, Trinity did not come to the house.  AS it turns out, the problem was a part which should have been covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and would not have been covered under the labor warranty anyway.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.   BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANTS[redacted].2980 S. I never received a copy of the complaint I filed, but wanted to let you know it has been resolved.  I let the business know I had filed the complaint and they were here the next day and removed the trash can full of stone/tile pieces that had been left since 2/6/2017.  Thank you.[redacted]...
