Review: My car was towed from an empty business parking lot on Sunday August **, labor Day weekend while I was working. [redacted] Motors failed to notify the local [redacted] Police dept that they had towed my car. The police called [redacted] to confirm and gave me another phone number. He was closing at 8:45 pm that night and closed the next day, labor Day. I had someone drive me to his shop after work that night and called him again. He agreed to meet me at 8 am. Upon arrival the next am, he demanded $216.00 CASH ONLY to release my car. When I advised him that he was obligated to accept at least 2 major credit cards, he threatened to hold my car hostage until I paid cash. He also did this to someone else I know and they know of another young man who ended up paying $500-$600. to have his car released by the time he accrued the CASH payment.

My understanding is that fees are regulated and I was overcharged, not to mention the refusal to accept credit card payment and failure to notify the police that he had impounded my car.Desired Settlement: license revocation.
