general contractor the insurance companies paying for to do storm damage repairs. $14,364.77 less deductible the policy holder part of paying for the work[$1000.00 the [redacted]'s part],totaling $15,364.77 worth of work, we request a down payment before we schedule a date which we indicated would be 4 weeks out before we could start work, but [redacted]'s insurance agent told them to not give a contractor a check money only 1 week before starting work, I told them, that is not how we work down payments, sorry, it takes 14-15 days for check to clear the bank,  but in some cases homeowners believe the money is there's and greed sets in, then insurance fraud becomes a factor that homeowners commit by getting a lower bid and pocket the money! Or, lower bid saves the insurance company $1000.00's and insurance agent gets a bigger bonus by making conflict between contractor and homeowner. . The [redacted]'s filled out paperwork and read agreement for Insurance Recovery of Mckenzies LLC contract and picked a color of shingle CRC biltmore aged redwood, it would match the shutters color and everything is all set and felt like we were part of a good thing. [redacted] said to [redacted] let's get it done with Mckenzies LLC! We can mail you a check signed pay to the order of Mckenzies LLC , because I seen a drunk contractor come to my door and two that didn't show up referrals from local BASS LAKE lumberyard. Our cancellation fee after 3 business days is 25% of insurance proceeds for Mckenzies LLC services, standard business practice like a restocking fee of 15% at Menards.p.s. we did work 3 houses down from the [redacted]'s for the [redacted] family, they are very pleased with our work, they also had storm damage insurance company paid for damages totaling $12000.00.I also told the [redacted]'s we are going into our 6th yr. In our business, and that you  trust us as a contractor, we have to trust you will pay us at the end, when the trust is broken between each other, we cant risk our business that we love, and have people say God Sent you to us from our clients!
