McKinley Property Management

It has now been a full week since our A/C went out, Jeff came the night it went out and said it was out of his hands to repair the unit. He mentioned that McKinley would hire a A/C company to fix the issue, except nobody has come by or even tried to help mediate the issue. We feel ignored by McKinley... A full week of 85'+ temperatures is absolutely unacceptable. We signed a lease that stating that the landlord would provide A/C to the tenants, so please fix this issue TODAY!!! Otherwise we will be looking to break our lease and receive compensation for our discomfort.

McKinley is a property management/leasing company that manages several properties in the Tampa Bay area. We have lived here for 9 months now and have experienced severe issues related to receiving service for our maintenance requests, including A/C being broken, no washing machine, and several other repairs. The buildings are old and we understand that things break/fall apart, however the severe problem is the lack of communication, accountability, respect, and literal service to fix these repairs. I have chains of emails literally begging for even just a response on the status of my maintenance requests. I have been following up to my own emails inquiring of a status update, explanation, or anything to communicate that are repairs will be fixed, or even a plan to get them fixed. I wound up having to Cc every contact I have in the office begging for a response, to then get a response days later.

About 4 months ago we dealt with very similar issues with a different employee trying to get our A/C fixed. Same lack of communication, respect, and diligence to get our A/C fixed. After not being able to sleep at our apartment for a week, we finally got two small temp A/C units and then our A/C fixed. They comped $100 off our rent for months of our electric bill which was decent but not nearly the cost of what we had to deal with.

Additionally, there is no management of the parking lots. There have been two cars parked in paying resident spots with no tag for a week now. And as you can see from above, it is terribly difficult to get in contact with these people. As a testament to what I am saying, there is a dashboard on the resident portal website where we pay rent, submit maintenance requests, etc. We can see that several residents, in addition to my roommate, have posted on this dashboard and have not received a response.

These constant issues have made living here a nightmare, which is a shame because it is a great place in a great location.
