The vehicle owner contacted my business to ask me to make a service call to his vehicle because the car would not start and didn't recognize his transponder key, (Murano)I quoted the price of $service call and $dollar fee to program his keyI also told the gentleman that it would be a minimum of $I went to the location, and spent approximately minutes trouble shooting the issueI could not establish communication between the vehicles computer and my diagnostic equipmentI made a call during this time with another locksmith that has over years of locksmithingIf the car could have been programmed by conventional methods, then it would have worked The gentleman then asked what he owed meI told him that rather than charge him the $fee I quoted over the phone, I would only charge $for the service and my timeHe paid the money and signed the invoiceThen his wife showed up at our business loudly complaining and demanding a policy and return of moneyThis was after a phone call she made with her making those same requests.We had other customers in the shop and it was embarrassing to have someone enter our business acting like she was actingWe are a small business and do not have written policies, we do not normally make any returns for service or labori feel that under good faith verbal agreements, we provided at least a minimal service for the minimal fee collectedWe have been in business for over years and have never had someone act like the wife did! be a minimum of $100.00. I went to the location, and spent approximately 45 minutes trouble shooting the issue. I could not establish communication between the vehicles computer and my diagnostic equipment. I made a call during this time with another locksmith that has over 25 years of locksmithing. If the car could have been programmed by conventional methods, then it would have worked.  The gentleman then asked what he owed me. I told him that rather than charge him the $100.00 fee I quoted over the phone, I would only charge $60.00 for the service and my time. He paid the money and signed the invoice. Then his wife showed up at our business loudly complaining and demanding a policy and return of money.
