June 13, 2016This letter response to a complaint received by the Revdex.com on 6/8/ED # [redacted] My business did replace a roof at [redacted] **, Aston, PA [redacted] for [redacted] In doing so as a kind gesture we removed the metal awning to preserve it from damage during replacement the roofThis step was an extra and not in our contract, therefore the homeowner was not charged for it, When the roof was finished we reattached the awning with the help of [redacted] [redacted] was also present watching in the drivewayNeither homeowner, nor myself noticed anything was off during the reattachmentIt wasn't until a few days later that I received a phone call from [redacted] , stating that the awning was 8' off its original placement, I'm unaware of any “damage" she never mentioned anything about damage nor did I acknowledge it was incorrectly placedThe only complaint [redacted] gave me was that it was inches off original placementThere is no physical evidence of this so I took her word and agreed to return to replaceI never said that it would cost me time and money, I told [redacted] that it would take time for me to get thereI ar, a very busy contractor and my business has been affected by the rainy weather we've had in the past monthI spoke to [redacted] upon receiving this complaintHe was completely unaware that [redacted] filed a complaint with Revdex.com, I did apologize for the length of time it has taken me to returnI did promise to replace to awning by the end of summer and he was excepting of that, I was hired to do the work by [redacted] not [redacted] I prefer dealing with ***, He is very calm and understanding [redacted] on the other hand is the exact oppositeAny questions please don't hesitate to call at any time,Shawn M

The following is an invoice to replace the roof at Tuscany lane in Astor PA due to hail damage The entire roof on the main house and garage was removed down to the sheeting All valleys and edges have ice and water shield installed to them GAF deck armor underlayment was installed GAF [redacted] dimensional shingles were installed C-white drip edging was installed All new flashing was installed Ridge venting was installed.• Shingles carry a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer.• 10-year craftsmanship warranty from MHI.TOTAL 6,300.00Plywood All 3/8" plywood was removed on the main house

We are rejecting company response as it does not solve situationMrMcLauglin stated removing the awning was not in contract, which of course this was reviewed as the roof could not be properly replaced with the awning on roofIf he is stating he would have charged extra to remove and return the awning to its original position than this should have been addressed prior to servicesHis words to *** and *** were he handles awnings all the timeWe are also very busy people and are looking for a date to have company correct their errorWe are almost days out since completion*** has lost hours of work due to taking a 1/day to meet his men to repair the crack in bedroom ceilingWe need to be able to schedule our work loads as well..5/8” *** plywood was installedApproximately sheets were replaced,TOTAL $1,700.00GRAND TOTAL $8,000.00WORK COMPLETED AND PAID IN FULL 4/27/
