We sold her a home that need work, that she was fully aware of that took some timeShe called the police and said we sold her home or that it didn't existWe verified the home and paperwork with the sheriff, and the sheriff asked if she was loopy, and was completely confused on why she had them checking on this homeDue to weather we did reschedule all of our customers, we go in order as they come inShe was notified of this change, as was all of our customersWe always get half down and the other half when we arrive with the home I am the owner of this business and I ran the escort pilot car to her siteI asked about getting the check for the balance of the delivery and she said to me "I'm not giving you a check, not todayShe had been notified by two of our office employees that we would be expecting a check upon delivery and she stated yes that was fine We said we would not come back and block and level the home until she paid the delivery as agreed and because she didn't have a check, as agreed before we wanted to be paid for the block and level alsoShe paid for the move and block and level and we did the workShe then wanted us to hook utilities, We said we wanted to be paid aheadShe didn't want to pay ahead so I said she could hire someone else, it was her choiceShe had agreed on the price on the phone but never said she felt we should deduct anything from the balance because she drove out to the siteWe received the check and she deducted $with a letter of whyWe decided then that we were not going to do anymore work for this lady and sent back her check with a letter stating we were not going to do the work If she had asked us to deduct instead of agreeing to a price and sending a different amount we might have worked it outI know that if I had done the work first she would have deducted without a discussion or an agreement Thank You,Have A Great Day! I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowRegards, *** *** I went to M***'s on June 9, to look at a trailer I saw
advertised for sale I looked at the trailer and understood it would
require cosmetic work The salesman said they would reconstruct the
wall that had been taken out for an addition, replace both toilets and
redo the floor in one of the bathrooms For this I was charged $1,
above the $7,price of the trailer The salesman told me that the
$9,was expected as soon as possible to secure my offer so that the
trailer wouldn't be sold to someone else who might come in with cash
There was nothing in the sales agreement that described that condition. I
understand there were weather issues that caused the company problems
in making deliveries and completing work In spite of claims, I was
never notified that the June delivery date wouldn't happen or any
other promised dates I had to call afterward and the salesman didn't
seem to remember who I was and why I would be calling That didn't bode
well.Every payment was made before the trailer was
delivered Nothing had happened that hadn't been paid for in advance
I had been quoted $3,for the work to hook up the utilities On
this work, I paid half in advance With the behavior of the company, I
was getting concerned about putting any more of my money in jeopardy I
had incurred expenses because I hadn't been told about cancelled
appointments The drive to Red Creek was miles round trip and was
three hours on the road I did deduct those expenses and it was for all
the broken appointments I never received any notification and no
apologyI have more to say, but the program isn't allowing me any more
entry. I was never given terms of 50/for the trailer I was told I had
to pay the amount in advance I did go to the sheriff I had parted
with $9,and was getting worried about when or if the trailer would
be delivered That's an amount I can't afford to loseThe sheriff
asked me if I thought this could be a scam I told him I didn't think
that, but anything's possible. Bettie

worked out somethingI doubt it but who knows I had to drive the
whole transaction I had to make all the phone calls and try to get a
firm delivery date I lost money on my unproductive trips to Red Creek
I had a tenant ready to move in at any time and have lost about four
months rentBettie said the sheriff asked if I was loopy I wasn't at that particular time, but I was well on my way.I
had seen the trailer and knew it would need cosmetic work No
argumentThe salesman, Josh, didn't make any remark about repair time
The first delivery date I was given was June Then I got a date of
7/18/The delivery took place on 8/22/and I had paid the advance
two months before. When the
trailer was delivered, I was told I'd have to pay for the hook ups in
advance No 50/for this I did pay 50/and sent a wire for the
50% I wasn't comfortable paying that amount of money without a firm
appointment given the past experience.I
have a list from Josh with the work they would do before delivery It
was: fix the exterior wall, bathroom floor, install new toilets in each
bathroom and put down carpetJosh said he'd didn't promise carpeting
He did put sealer on the roof and I figured that was close enoughThe
new toilets weren't put inI only started backing up because of the
company's behavior That wasn't my choice
