Having purchased a new home at *** we were reasonably impressed with the kitchen layout and qualitySo when we wanted additional items (pull-out drawers, upper cupboard & small counter) figured it would be best to use the same sub-trade - HCKFrom our initial contact with them in February our communication was good - until August when absolutely no emails or phone calls were returnedTotally frustrated, I visited their showroom to exchange a drawer door and possibly speak to the director who had been dealing with our accountAgain, I was told he was not available When I had to request a receipt for the door that I was leaving behind till they ordered the smaller one, the front office personnel were confused on how to manage it A few days later I received an email from the director requesting that I do not return to the showroom and they would not be handling our original order; plus they would be returning our door
Reasonable quality for a reasonable price - but bad, bad customer service & relations
We used this company three years ago and were completely satisfied with the 6' bathroom vanity they custom built and installed. We recently ordered another very similar vanity for another bathroom in our house. When we tried to contact the company to follow up on a very unsatisfactory installation (cabinet was damaged, poor quality finish to drawers, floating box not properly built etc.) we got no return on emails or phone calls for days until we called and asked for the manager. Ultimately we rejected the 6 drawers which they said were not properly finished and a second very good installer came twice to fix all the damage and improper installation by the first guy. In addition because we got no call back again regarding the custom built mirror not mounted properly we purchased our own hardware and remounted the mirror so it was stable. We were a small project but deserved a better product, installation and professional communication from this company.
