I am rejecting this response because: The documentation relates to the original case, at which time I paid a $non-refundable retainer. That case was closed. I chose to appeal, and without signing another document, sent the $2000. I was told this money was completely separate from the case that just occurred, and would cover the cost of the appeal in total. I never received any feedback whatsoever, let alone that any documents were prepared, even with my constant emails and phone calls. Mr** ** *** stated the case would have to be appealed within days of the original ruling. Clearly, that date came and went without a filing. And seven additional months went by without any effort on the part of Mr** ** ***. Even when I stated I wanted to withdraw, he stated he had not filed, so it would be no problem to return funds. His statement is clearly not backed by his actions. Not only do I reject this, but I would advise others to seek alternative legal counsel if needed, as he is clearly not honest, expeditious, or trust-worthy

WE PREPARED THE DOCUMENTS AS THE CLIENT REQUESTED AND PREPARED FOR HEARING ON A MOTION FOR THE COURT CLARIFY TWO OPPOSING ORDERS. THE CLIENT THEN NOTIFIED THE OFFICE THAT SHE DID NOT WISH TO PROCEED BECAUSE SHE HAD SETTLED THE MATTER PRIVATELY WITH THE OPPOSING PARTY. OUR WRITTEN ENGAGEMENT LETTER...

SPECIFICALLY STATES THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR LEGAL FEES PAID. WE ARE PROVIDING THE FORMER CLIENT A COPY OF HER FILE. WE FULLY PERFORMED ON THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN TO US BY THE CLIENT. PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENTS.
