Offered me the lowest price but in the long run has cost me a lot of time and tried to trick me on multiple occasions into admitting I was at fault for accidentsThey even had demanded proof of the accidents After I had submit them to themLuckily I am a pack rat and kept the police reportsThey seem to try to squeeze every dime out of you they canThey charge "installment fees" if you don't pay months in advance$just for sending you a piece of paper in the mailIt's borderline a scam in my bookI'm almost at the point of filing a formal complaint at this timeI just made a payment and they are trying to double bill me saying that my coverage has lapsed when I made the payment last weekI would only recommend this insurance company if you are going to pay in fullThe price may be cheaper for some folks but they will try every tactic they can to get your rate raised upThis in turn will cost you if you try to get insurance with another companyInsurance companies hold accidents against you for years even if they are not your fault! a woman named [redacted] was seeing over our claim after my husband had a wreck Our car remained in limbo at the shop for two full months because the guy who was supposed to assess the damage didn't add in the cost of airbags being fixed The guy would not contact the auto body shop to come to a conclusion on the status of our car (fixable or totaled), and every time my husband would call Ms [redacted] he'd get a message to leave voice mail, or she'd answer, ask him to let her call back and she never would return the call Meanwhile, I've had to spend over a thousand dollars on a rental car to get to work and the whole timeAfter finally getting someone on the phone who was willing to do their job, we were told our car had been listed as totaled I will NEVER sacrifice good service for lower payments EVER again I have learned my lessonThanks, General I really appreciate your totaling a car that just had a small dent in the bottom passenger side door and two airbags that needed to be replaced! What a waste of a pretty, low mileage car

PEOPLE KNOW LIKE ME THEY WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY MAY SEEM A GREAT COMPANY TO BE WITH UNTIL YOU GET INTO A ACCIDENT AND THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR IT I HAD ACTIVE COVERAGE UNDER MY POLICY FOR MEDICAL PAYMENTS AND UNINSURED LIABILITY PAYMENT AND THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY ME FOR NEITHER THAT'S WHY I HAD TO HIRE A LAWYER HOW CAN YOU HAVE PEOPLE PAY FOR A COVERAGE THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO OWN UP TO WHEN THE TIME COMES TO PAY THEY MAKE EXCUSES AS TO WHY THEY AIN'T PAYING FOR ANYTHING IT HAS BEEN GOING ON TWO MONTHS AND I HAVEN'T GOT NOTHING FROM THEM TALKING ABOUT WE HAVE TO DO A INVESTIGATION BEFORE I GET PAYMENT THE ACCIDENT WASN'T MY FAULT THE TICKET I GOT WAS DISMISSED IN COURT THIS COMPANY IS CROOKS AND SCAM ARTISTS THEY GET YOUR MONEY AND DON'T WANT TO DELIVER ON PAYMENT WHEN YOU ARE ENTITLED TO IT I WOULDN'T GET ANOTHER POLICY WITH THEM IF THEY GAVE ME A FREE POLICY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE

This company is horrible at issuing refundsI had cancelled a policy and was told by one person that I would receive $back when I paid $for months and had the policy active for a monthFrom there the call was transferred to a supervisor named Ricky who advised I would receive a refund for $When I checked on the status of the refund with Clint from online chat he advised me that he did not see a dollar amount and that the refund will be issued over night when the computer updatesI'm sorry that is completely unacceptable to tell someone what the refund will be and then find out that they dont even know what the refund will be until the next day All I want is my refund amount that I was told and not given the run around but that seems to be too hard for this companyThey are great at taking your money and hounding you for it but cant refund you

Offered me the lowest price but in the long run has cost me a lot of time and tried to trick me on multiple occasions into admitting I was at fault for accidents. They even had demanded proof of the accidents After I had submit them to them. Luckily I am a pack rat and kept the police reports. They seem to try to squeeze every dime out of you they can. They charge "installment fees" if you don't pay 2 months in advance. $10.00 just for sending you a piece of paper in the mail. It's borderline a scam in my book. I'm almost at the point of filing a formal complaint at this time. I just made a payment and they are trying to double bill me saying that my coverage has lapsed when I made the payment last week. I would only recommend this insurance company if you are going to pay in full. The price may be cheaper for some folks but they will try every tactic they can to get your rate raised up. This in turn will cost you if you try to get insurance with another company. Insurance companies hold accidents against you for 4 years even if they are not your fault! The BMV erases them after 2 years. It's a racket and they know they can get away with it because states require you to have insurance. If I could prove it I would go so far as to suggest that they all work together to ensure rates stay high. They have no reason to offer competitive rates when you are forced to have their service. Even when you are in an accident they do not want to pay you. When I was hit by a lady with no insurance, it wasn't even her car I had to take the owner to small claims court. He paid me $50 a month. All it had accomplished by reporting the accident was a higher rate for me. My brother had driven through someone's fence and requires an SR22 yet he pays $44 a month. I am 9 years older yet my rates are almost double that. Insurance rates go down for men the older you get and vice versa for women for those that did not know this. If I notice they change their policy of not keeping your accident records on file when you renew your policy, or offer better customer service I will update my review. But as of now I am not at all the least bit satisfied with them.

I am pleased with this business, and was even more happy when at the end of my interaction, I saw the Revdex.com logo on their website.

OKAY LET ME START WITH THESE TWO THINGS, one is I basically just did the same review but I did something screwed it up. I think so. It wasn't posted so this is a duplicate. I apologize, and the second is that I'm doing this through voice dictation and it doesn't know me real well so it likes to put punctuation and capitalization where it wants. Sorry.
Okay here's the thing, when I originally was going get insurance from the general I spoke to a couple or a few agents on the phone at different times. They lied to me a lot. Okay, some people might only say a little doesn't matter. The general didn't even seem to want to look into those issues. Remember I'm a new customer and have had no experience with them so I don't know how things are going to become. I remember specifically talking to one agent and describing to him the claims I have made in the past there was one claim I didn't know if it was my fault or not. What happened was, it was in the middle of the night, early morning I was on the highway or should I say the freeway with no traffic. I'm cruising along in the middle of the night with basically no traffic not thinking about much of nothing and all of a sudden I hit something really hard that set off my airbags. After not freaking out and taking my foot off the accelerator and slowly stopping to realize what was I found out it was a block of concrete in the middle of the road, freeway, in the middle of the night. All it did was set off my airbags. It didn't hurt my car except that it been a part of my subframe would actually probably throw the engine off, so is not completely squared up really so yeah there is some damage to the car. You can't tell by looking at. Well I explained all that, told him I didn't know if it was my fault or not because I don't know the fault when the reason is concrete in the middle-of-the-road, in the middle of the night. Now I actually think it's the highways fault, and I probably should went back trying to get money from them. Point is that old age and everything and he gave me a quote and I pay that price for two or three months and then they raised for an accident that was my fault and not reported. Okay, I told the agent I just told them I know that was my fault or not. He's the one that wrote down, I guess. Check the box or whatever that it was not my fault. The general insurance company didn't want to hear about any of that. And they didn't want to hear about how their agent told me that since I'm on disability and only get paid on the first of the month that all my payments were to be due on the second of the month, and somehow it ended up being on the 22nd of each month. I mean if you get paid once a month you can understand the 22nd of the month, you don't know what you have. So I'm pretty sure that stops me from be able to set up direct payments being taken out because I won't have the money on the 22nd of each month. What they do, though, is give me enough time before cancellation that I can pay by the third of each month. And so I have to remember every month within a couple days to make sure and get that out. While in the beginning I guess I didn't have too much bad to say about him goes really a con all worked out in the end I mean I can pay when I got the money and so on and so forth. But reading all these reviews are the ones that are written I see that they like to raise the payments on people. And I can attest that they do that even if their agent tells you otherwise. They need to back up with their agent says it's all recorded. That's all I got to say

Do not sign up for service with this company! I have only had the general insurance for one month! I was quoted a deposit which I paid due to the rates being slightly lower then other companies, $7 cheaper then another company! I was quoted $142 for the first month and payments reduce to around $125 the final payment! Today I noticed a deduction of $200 from the general! Not what I agreed to, they have poor explain action for my rates going up without no notice or opportunity for me to cancel! The general insurance is a rip off, con! Just read the reviews! Every where they are horrible! Poor customer service and a scam! Be aware! Do not give this company your business! I even tried to cancel today and they want you to agree first to cancel before telling you that out of your $200 month payment you only get $22 refunded due to hidden cancelation fees! I have canceled with prior companies and they only charge me for the time I was insured. THE GENERAL INSURANCE IS A SCAM!

Be aware!! We cancelled our policy on the 16th of the month and this company decided to charge our bank account on the 19th , three days after we have confirmation of cancellation.(for the following month) We spoke with a manager and at the time she agreed it was a mistake and now, three months later I receive a letter from a Collection Agency . We tried to call and this company just said you pay or you will be reported. I think it is a rip off , and what could I do other than pay , I do not want my credit to be harmed by this dishonest company.

A great company I'm proud to be a part of they were good to me
