Adams Air Care is one of the HVAC Vendors forFidelity Home Warranty We received a work order from Fidelity thatindicated that the Week's were having problems with their air conditioner.The Technician diagnosed the system and worked through Fidelity to getapproval to install a new air conditioning system Fidelity orders theequipment when air conditioners are approved Initially a Carrier Systemwas ordered but it was determined that Carrier did not have the condensing unitin stock and it would have taken an additional week for the out of stockcomponent to be delivered to the parts house in San Antonio At thatpoint the Adams Air Care Owner suggested to Fidelity that Goodman equipment beordered as it is comparable and would more expediently resolve the Week's airconditioning problem.Mr [redacted] called and spoke to the owner at the beginning ofthe week when the equipment that Fidelity ordered had not come in yetThe owner told Mr [redacted] that Thursday was penciled in but would bedependent upon when the equipment was received On Tuesday, 6/15/2015,Mr [redacted] called the office staff and indicated that Wednesday, 6/17/2015,would be a better possible day because Thursday his wife had a job interviewand Friday they were going out of town The office staff member told Mr[redacted] that the message would be passed on but it would be unlikely thatWednesday was possible as it was the next day and offered that thetechnicians do work on Saturday Mr [redacted] said that he did not know whatwas happening on their calendar on Saturday so he did not know if that wouldwork out.Due to the heat wave during the week, other customerscontinued to be scheduled Equipment Installations are only scheduledafter the equipment arrives at the parts house and customers are scheduled inthe first available schedule at that time When the Equipment did come inthe first available day on the Adams Air Care Schedule that matched the ***'availability was Saturday, 6/20/ Therefore, the installation wasscheduled for Saturday, 6/20/

Mr*** was not refused service Mr*** scheduled an appointment for Friday, June 12, 2015, as he claimed that the circuit board that was installed in his HVAC system on 1/5/by Adams Air Care had quit working When he scheduled the appointment he was told that there would
be a $diagnostic charge and that he could be provided a discount on the labor if the circuit board was defective There are many things that can happen with an HVAC system over a month span so diagnostics would have been necessary to determine the problem.There is a year manufacturer's warranty on the circuit board that was installed in January Labor does not have a warranty unless it is indicated on the invoice There was not a labor warranty indicated on the 1/5/invoice When a labor warranty is not indicated on the invoice it is Adams Air Care's practice to provide a day labor warranty as a courtesy.On 6/11/Mr*** called Adams Air Care and cancelled his appointment for June 12, and did not provide a reason for the cancellation.Sincerely,*** *** Owner

I am rejecting this response because: frank did refuse to come out same day and repair the problem and he stated that I would have to pay the service charge of and the labor charge and if I wanted the labor charge reduced I would have to address that with the subcontractor that would come outI stated that it was unfair for me to have to pay any charges due to the equipment that was put in was defectiveFrank then stated that he wouldn't know if that was the problem unless it was diagnosed and I told him I could smell and see the smoke coming from the board so yes it was the problemHe then stated the best thing he could do for me was to get someone out there by FridayI stated to him that with two toddlers in the house that date was to far out and I would have to speak with my wife about it and would call him backFrank then stated he would put me down for Friday but a time frame was never set. I called and cancelled for Friday because another company came out same day and replaced the mother board that was fried and now the ac unit is up and running.
