Review: I purchased a 2002 [redacted] from McNamara the summer of 2013. When I picked up the car about a week and a half later I was told it was completely inspected by Monro Muffler that is connected to their building. I got three lights past McNamara and the check engine light cam on. I returned to their company and was told they would have to inspect the car again, the car was leaking oil through a hose. I was given one of their loner cars, a black blazer. The car ended up breaking down on me as well. I was without my [redacted] for about a week and a half. Over the course of the year I have had nothing but problems with this car. The car has broken down on me numerous times leaving me stranded. I have paid for the inspection and a new starter in July of this year. As well as replacing a battery. Within the past month the car has stopped running again. I have let McNamara know every time the car has broken down and left me stranded. Their initial office manager or book keeper that I signed my contract with is now in another position. She informed me the day of signing the contract that the company offers a program that you can finance your repairs with them. They ask you that you pay half or as much of the repairs as you can and finance the rest. Now that they have a new office manager or bookkeeper I was told that option has been put on hold. I have asked to talk to the owner as well as the manager in charge and I constantly get a rude response and being told there is nothing they can do. They are also claiming that there was never a program to finance repairs. However the sign is up on their wall in the office on one day and down then next. As well as them making the same promise to new customers.Since their staff has changed payments for the car can never be reconciled correctly. My parents have purchased a Buick from them as well and have invested several hundreds of dollars in their car as well with being told McNamara cannot do anything. At this point I would rather have my money back. I have missed time from work and have been left stranded as well as the money invested. McNamara needs to be responsible for the cars they are selling to customers. I am very unsatisfied with my experience with them.Desired Settlement: I would prefer my money back so that I don't have the same experience with another one of their cars. If that is not possible then I would like another car from them that is inspected by certified mechanics outside of their business.

Review: We had a written agreement for a prepurchase promise and they refuse to honor the agreement. They signed it, but refuse to honor the repair of the a/c.Desired Settlement: To get out of contract and get a refund since they will not uphold there end of the purchase agreement.

Review: I purchased a 2003 Town and Country 9/2013, the day I picked it up we had issues we took it for a test drive but it had a blown fuse so we couldn't tell if the things worked. The company was taking it for a week to inspect it and make sure that everything was fixed before we got it. The first problem we had is that the back windshield wiper did not touch the glass. The map overhead light did not work, the DVD player did not work when we specifically asked if it had a working DVD player since this was one of the reasons we were buying the car, and the car was jumping when riding around 1-2 rpm's, we told them we did not want it and that we wanted to return it they said we couldn't since we signed all the paper work, they said they would have the problems fixed. After the company had the car for a week we got it back, the back wiper still did not work, the map overhead light still did not work. the car was still jumping they said they couldn't reinact the problem, and the DVD player still did not work. Then we had the car for a day and the check engine light came on. We took the car back again and they said it was a oxygen sensor they had it another week, we told them that the car was still jumping when you were riding in 1-2 rpm's. They said they would fix the problem but never did. It was starting to get cold outside in the morning so I went to use my heat and low and behold it did not work, it was blowing cold air. I had no way of knowing this since the weather wasn't cold enough to turn on the heat. We took it back for a third time where they had it another week, they said the problem was fixed, when we picked the car up it was 70 degrees outside so of course when he turned on the blower it was hot air. The next morning I got in the car to go to work and it was still blowing cold air. I told them I did not want the same mechanic working on the car so they said they would send it out this time for the repairs. We told them when they were sending it that the jumping was still going on and had never stopped. So the place was supposed to look at the heat and find out why the front end had been jumping all along. We get the car back noticed that someone had scratched all above the passenger side door, it looked like someone might have shut a garage door on it. When we got it back 3 days later the heat was fixed but the jumping of the front end had continued.

The transmission was slipping really bad and we believe this problem was due to a bad transmission, we had a local dealer look at the car and they said the transmission was shot, the power steering was leaking, the muffler needed replaced, and the front end was bad. Our church was willing to pay for the repairs provided they were not more then the car was worth. The mechanic said the repairs would cost too much and that the church was not willing to put out that much money since the car was not worth it. They said the company should never had sold us the vehicle in those conditions. It is now undrivable and we had it towed back to the auto sales they said they had to wait to talk to the owner of the company to see how he wants to handle it. They said he might finance the transmission, why should we have to pay for that when clearly there was a problem from the day we bought it. I now am without any means of transportation and just keep getting the run around from the company. They say the transmission is not under warranty since the warranty expired after 3 months. But if you look at the records you will see that the jumping problem could very well have been due to bad transmission and this was from the day we bought the car.

And to make matters worse, a month after I had the Van they sent someone out to repo the van because they said I had not made my weekly payment in 3 wks. I told them I paid monthly and they had to call the company and straighten it out. I had not made a payment in 3 wks because my monthly payment was not due yet.Desired Settlement: At this point we have paid almost $2000 down and 9months of $321. We just want to give it back and not owe anything more on the vehicle. I don't trust them to fix it since they have tried at least 4 times and never fixed it correctly. The only other option is for the to give us another van that has all the things we requested in the first van, dvd, auto key entry, theft control, cd player and at least a 3 month warranty in case something goes wrong with that van too.
