We were asked to look at the problem with the customers' home by a home warranty companyAfter we looked at her home there were obvious problems with electrical system She has three pronged pulgs with no grounds in the mobile home(safety issue) There are open holes in her panel can (safety issue) There are open holes in her dead front panel cover(safety issue) No connectors in the panel for her cabling(safety issue/fire hazard) There are open splices and junction boxes in the mobile home(safety issue/fire hazard) No GFCI protection in kitchen or bathroom(very dangerous safety issue) Also her husband told us the man who placed the mobile home at its location did it incorrectly, he is also the one who told us the home was sinking and that if we had to get under the home we would not be able to fit because one side of the mobile home was resting on the dirt (which is why the electricity on parts of her home we suspect were not working, because the home had cut the wires ran underneath) As per the $dollars that she paid usWe are sorry for the situation she is in, but we had decided not to charge her for another service call previouslyWhen we were called to her home after hours because she lost power during an ice storm, she was upset because there were children in the home and they were coldSo we told her not to worry about the bill because she was very stressed about the situation Also I would imagine that if they had pictures they were not recently taken Most of the electrical installed in the home was run by unlicensed "friends" and work done without permitsShe had told me that when they moved in they had to use extension cords to run most of their things There was no way to fix the primary problems with the home unless the foundation was fixed, because it was the source of the problemThat problem combined with the amount of incorrect work done by unlicensed "friends" and problems that would have to be fixed when a permit is applied for is the reason it was declined by the home warranty companyAs per usual our goal is to provide whatever services are needed for the community and we would be happy to fix the problems at her location if she would hire us directly or if the home warranty company would accept our estimateWe encourage her also to please get a second opinion from another reputable and licensed electrical contractor to give her an estimate that would bring her home up to the current nationally held minimum requirements before she gets upset about the difficult situation she is in with the condition of her homeIn the future we also suggest that she only let licensed contractors maintenance her property, and it is required by the city of Norman that all work should be inspected to ensure a safe and proper installation

We were asked to look at the problem with the customers' home by a home warranty company. After we looked at her home there were obvious problems with electrical system.
1. She has three pronged pulgs with no grounds in the mobile home. (safety issue)
2. There are open holes in her panel can....

(safety issue)
3. There are open holes in her dead front panel cover. (safety issue)
4. No connectors in the panel for her cabling. (safety issue/fire hazard)
5. There are open splices and junction boxes in the mobile home. (safety issue/fire hazard)
6. No GFCI protection in kitchen or bathroom. (very dangerous safety issue)
7. Also her husband told us the man who placed the mobile home at its location did it incorrectly, he is also the one who told us the home was sinking and that if we had to get under the home we would not be able to fit because one side of the mobile home was resting on the dirt (which is why the electricity on parts of her home we suspect were not working, because the home had cut the wires ran underneath).
8. As per the $60 dollars that she paid us. We are sorry for the situation she is in, but we had decided not to charge her for another service call previously. When we were called to her home after hours because she lost power during an ice storm, she was upset because there were children in the home and they were cold. So we told her not to worry about the bill because she was very stressed about the situation.
9. Also I would imagine that if they had pictures they were not recently taken.
10. Most of the electrical installed in the home was run by unlicensed "friends" and work done without permits. She had told me that when they moved in they had to use extension cords to run most of their things.
There was no way to fix the primary problems with the home unless the foundation was fixed, because it was the source of the problem. That problem combined with the amount of incorrect work done by unlicensed "friends" and problems that would have to be fixed when a permit is applied for is the reason it was declined by the home warranty company. As per usual our goal is to provide whatever services are needed for the community and we would be happy to fix the problems at her location if she would hire us directly or if the home warranty company would accept our estimate. We encourage her also to please get a second opinion from another reputable and licensed electrical contractor to give her an estimate that would bring her home up to the current nationally held minimum requirements before she gets upset about the difficult situation she is in with the condition of her home. In the future we also suggest that she only let licensed contractors maintenance her property, and it is required by the city of Norman that all work should be inspected to ensure a safe and proper installation.
