Review: Although everyone was pleasant in this office..I went in for a breast reduction, pannectomy and some lipo in my arms and sides seeing if this would help my neck and back pain.. So upset. I was a DD to DDD and I am now under an A, he took too much and said get implants and you will be fine. yea like I can afford that when insurance wont cover it. I cant even fit a bra.. I have to wear sports bras. Now I dont feel like a lady. and then on top of that since I dont have breasts I now look like im pregnant. How is this suppose to make me feel better. He also stitched all crooked under the breast crooked and left a little pouch on the side. I have no feeling on one breast and made the sides so tight that it has made more stretch marks than before and always itches and occasionally hurts....Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: No cost repair... fix this until I am happy and no longer uncomfortable or complete refund to get it fixed.

Thanks for your note. As much as I would like to properly respond to the complaint submitted June 27,2014 with assigned ID #[redacted], I am forbidden from doing so. Let me explain why first; then let me propose a way forard. Unlike most consumer complaints, many professionals, such as physicians, are obligated to maintain privacy. We are governed by federal statute (HIPPA); state confidentiality statues; presidential state common law judgments addressing confidentiality; and our code of medical ethics. Absent a release from a patient authorizing disclosure of protecting health information, I would be at risk for a lawsuit, a fine, or even losing my medical license. Accordingly, responding in public to a medical complaint must yield to the law.

This risk is more than academic. I am aware at least one physician who was disciplined and fined several thousands of dollars by the Florida Board of Medicine, precisely for responding to a complaint lodged by a patient with the Revdex.com.

Next, adjudicating whether a medical procedure was done adeptly is much different than analyzing ordinary consumer transactions. Our courts demand expert testimony rather than the mere word of either side. Does the Revdex.com really want to commit the resources to properly evaluate such professional matter?

I understand the Revdex.com often posts unresolved complaints on its web site. This places me in quite a predicament. While I appreciate the desire of the BB to provide a fair forum to respond, the law prevents me from responding to you or through you, absent authorization by the patient. If you truly want to provide a fair forum, the first step is obtaining a release from the patient. Until I have received this authorization, I am bound by federal law not to discuss any details (including even whether or not this person was a patient of my practice) with any third party.

I am sure that you were unaware of these statues and were not attempting to induce me to violate federal law. I look forward to receiving a signed authorization, so that I may respond to complaint #[redacted].
