Review: [redacted] Home Inspections inspected my home. He missed major items on the home. The attic had buckets located throughout to collect water from a leaking roof. The electrical feeder to the home is frayed and O&R has promised to shut down service if not corrected. The rear sun room has termites and carpenter ants with extensive damage to woodwork behind the walls. On top of that, [redacted] Inspections was not licensed for more then a year. the State of New York is dealing with that issue.Desired Settlement: Roof replaced, electric feeder cable to home replace, all woodwork damage by termites/carpenter ants replaced

This is a response to the charges brought against me. [redacted]

I have enclosed a copy of the NYS CODE OF ETHICS regarding the inspection of a roof. In the inspection of the attic you will see on my report that I entered 2 sections of attic and found no buckets or any leaves it was a clear day and I am onkly at the house on day. It is obvious to me that the homeowner removed the buckets before my inspection and the replaced then after I left. Also the frayed electrical line.

It is impossible for a home inspector to determine the amount of fraying that would require replacement. That can only be determined by [redacted].

In the complaint it stated about damage behind a wall-no inspector has X-Ray Vision.

Richard M[redacted] did not do the job he was paid for. There are several details that he did not report while inspecting the home I was purchasing. Lack of insulation, dry rot, obvious drilled holes open to the outside air in the basement and soft rotted beams in the basement, which is a sign of termites. Not necessarily active termites but evidence of..This was noticed by my alarm company while they were doing the installation. I would not recommend this company.
