Can't reach these people by phone, even to correct information they have wrong on file
This is the most frustrating quasi-banking experience I've ever had. I don't know what the advantage of belonging to MCU is, and I'm about to close my account. The info I put in when the phone OGM at MCU asks for it is exactly the info I have on paper and online. They should have the same info at their end. The OGM keeps stating that it isn't correct. They must have something wrong on record. There is no way for me to correct it without visiting the branch. I will visit the branch--I had to make an appointment for after the weekend (today is Friday) -- and close the account. This is too unmanageable for words.

I Went to Deposit cash at a MCU ATM machine today in Downtown Brooklyn (Jay Street to be exact) I Deposited some cash and received a receipt for my transaction. I had a lot of 20's to deposit so I deposit them about 10 to 15 at a time so that the transaction goes through smoothly, I receive a receipt for each transaction. First trans. was for $260 it went through second trans. was for $200 I deposit the cash and I get a message saying that the cash did not take and to pull out the money only there was no money there to pull out, I get a error to contact the financial institution and then screen goes back to welcome sign with no 2nd receipt or anything. so now I am standing there dumbfounded looking with no money being returned to me, no receipt and no 2nd cash deposit of $200 afraid to leave the machine afraid the money would come out and someone will grab it. I go over the MCU credit Union and when my number was called I explained to the person helping me what happened and his response was "oh that happens all the time" and gave me a form to fill out. No explanation on how long it will take and what would be done in order to receive my funds. If this is something that happens all the time shouldn't the problem be corrected. I just recently opened a account with MCU and I am regretting it already. Very poor customer service. I don't have extra money to wait around and figure out what they are going to do. I am livid as to how my situation was handled but not surprised since this must be a very common thing as per the Gentleman helping me.
