We always regret when a customer is not happy, however this customer asked us to HOLD a Lexus for him with a deposit of $200.
13.3333339691162px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;">Holding a vehicle means we cannot sell it to anyone else! Half our vehicles are owned by us and the other half by the bank to whom we have to pay interest and fees every month. We had another inquiry from a woman that had called us 3x but we said no it's on hold. The customer gets cold feet and backs out. We call the other prospect back and she had already bought another vehicle. Now we are stuck paying the bank fees and interest! No it's not fair to us and anyone with common sense will agree.[redacted]

Review: I bought a car from the owner([redacted]) of M&M Quality Vehicles at the end of Aug. 2014. In Oct. the transmission gave out and antifreeze leaked from the car causing it to shake profusely and smoke. On or about Oct. 13 I called [redacted] realizing that I hadn't received signed documents at the time of purchase that he informed me were in the envelope he gave to me. That day I called and left a message and asked if he could send the documents via fax or email to me. I received no response. A few days later I wrote a review on Yelp regarding the subpar experience I had working with the owner and his lack of responsiveness. On Oct. 24 I called [redacted] yet again requesting the documents, with no initial comment on the poor car condition. As opposed to complying with my request, [redacted] initiated a confrontation stating, "I didn't appreciate your nasty Yelp review." I didn't call him to argue about the car, accepting under the "As-Is" warranty [redacted] was under no obligation to fix the poor transmission, I responded saying, "I did not appreciate the car you sold me." With his voice raised he began to talk over me and then inquired about repairs that I had to make. I explained that I made repairs such as replacing the battery and changing out the spark plugs and tubes. He then began to complain that said changes were "minor" neglecting that costs included manual labor and not only parts. But I did not call [redacted] until the transmission failed as the former are typical repairs. He argued that he could have gotten me a battery for the 03 Ford Taurus SE for only $40. From my understanding, I don't know of a single reputable business that could/would sell a car battery for $40. Upset he continued to talk over me. I said that I was only calling to retrieve the documents that should have been included given that my signature was on them, for which he did not wish to comply. He said something to the extent of why should I do anything to help you. But he's REQUIRED to provide a customer copy. Hostile and angry, he hung up on me.Desired Settlement: Unsure if settlements can be made regarding poor customer service on behalf of the company but if possible then I would like the matter resolved (i.e. training in customer service or creation of an employee handbook, etc.).

Review: I was looking to buy a car from this lot. I discovered an oil leak which they said they would take care of. I also noticed that the transmission fluid smelled old and brown in color indicating that it had not been changed in quite some time. And yes smelling is the best way to determine the condition of transmission fluid. I was a mechanic for over forty years and have rebuilt many automatic transmissions. They said they would have the fluid changed also. They said a $200.00 deposit would hold it contingent on the leak being repaired and trans fluid changed. It took three days to make the repairs at a stated price to them of $400.OO. The receipt they showed me for the repair only charged them $25.00 for the transmission fluid change. That's about 4 quarts of fluid for a transmission that holds about 15 quarts. I inspected the fluid and noticed that it was still brown but was evident that some new fluid had been added. We test drove the vehicle and I noticed that the shifting was sluggish and seemed to slip a little between 1st and 2nd. we decided not to get the vehicle based on my suspicion that the transmission is getting bad. When I asked for our deposit back they refused and said the deposit was non refundable even though that was never mentioned. They even blamed me for the transmission problem for making them change the fluid saying that changing fluid is never a good idea in an older car cause it can make the trans go bad. Changing the fluid will only reveal a bad transmission not make it go bad.Desired Settlement: Would like our $200.00 back.
