Review: I took my 1968 Chevelle into Evan at M&D machine in late June to get a new dash and gauges put in as well as a couple of other very small things to be done. Instead of being a man of his word and charging me for the 8 hours we agreed upon for the dash installation, he decided to overcharge me for two other installations to make up for the difference in money he thought was owed to him. I was going to let this slide until over the past few weeks I have had nothing but problems with the installation that he did on my car. The wiring was completely terrible, which has now been re-done and there were live wires left open under my dash which could have caused a fire inside of the vehicle. It was so poorly done that when I took the dash back apart to re-do all of the wiring some wires were falling out of the connectors. This took me 5 hours to re-do the wiring behind that dash and make it actually safe. I am in utter disbelief that a company with professional mechanics would do such a poor job. The job was obviously rushed and completed by someone who didn't know what they were doing. I brought it to your company because I didn't have the time to do it myself and I was assured it would be done correctly and it wasn't at all. The steering wheel was completely wrong, and the horn didn't work as well. It worked when I brought the car in. The parking brake light doesn't work along with other things like light dimming.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $750. While not all the work that was done was bad, most of it was. When I contacted you to fix something as little as the steering wheel alignment, you never got back to me. This is the only recourse I have outside of small claims court, which I don't want to persue unless I have to.
Review: I brought my vehicle to this business to have the engine rebuilt. I was given an estimate of 3 weeks for completion. I have called at least once per week after the initial 3 for status updates and have been told that it would be ready the following week each time. I am not on week 9 and am being told next week, yet again. I asked them if they would be discounting the price or any other means of making this right and they said no.Desired Settlement: A fair discount for the excessive time without the vehicle.
