MD Car Wash Reviews (2)

Review: I stopped mid afternoon on July 28th to get my red 99 [redacted] Eclipse washed at MD car wash. I had never been there before and will never go back. I purchased the nicest wash they offered (12$), and proceeded to go through. The wash immediately abuseed my car, I've never been through one so rough, so when I was done I pulled right around and got out. My windshield has a small chip in it, as well as numerous scratches on the paint of my car that weren't there before.I confronted the shop, and they got their owner, [redacted]. He immediately denied that his wash had caused ANY of the damage, stating that 'he had washed a million cars and had never had a window chipped'. Extremely rude, unprofessional, and vulgar. He refused to accept any responsiblity or give any kind of restitution. I even told him there was plenty of other damage on my car that if I wanted to blame on him or if I was some kind of con, would have.Desired Settlement: Fix my windshield and my paint.

Business

Response:

MD Carwash has been in business for almost 7 years. This is only the 3rd complaint in all those years, with the Revdex.com. My carwash has washed over a million cars in that time. I value my rating with the Revdex.com, so I will respond to this rediculous complaint. I find it interesting how people when there looking to take advantage, make things out to be so one sided. This customer, a young man, went thru the carwash with a 14 year old car. Then claimed we chipped his windshield, and put scratches all over his car. After he made several dirogatory remarks to me, I told him it was obvious a rock hit his windshield and the scratches on his car were not consistant with what a carwash could do, and that I had washed 1.5 million cars, and never had someone claim the carwash shot out a rock and chipped my window. The rest of the complaint is irrevelant, as these are the facts. MD Carwash does not have equipment in it that shoots rocks out! If you understood the engineering of my carwash you would understand how that doesn't happen. As for the random scratches on this kids car, they were no more than wear and tear on an old paint job. If a carwash was to scratch a car, the scratches would have a pattern to it, not just randomly spread around the car. Scratches would also appear in a series, not just 1 scratch.MD Carwash continues to be a good business and has many, many valued customers. We continue to support our community thru various volunteer activities and fund raisers. We value the Revdex.com, and hope this matter is closed.

While sitting next door in our car we witnessed a driverless car roll out of their wash bay door, across the parking lot, over the curb and into the drain field ditch. The staff rushed to pull the car out while several employees stood around laughing about this matter. We watched this unfold and thought it odd that the vehicle owner wasn't outside inspecting for damages as the staff quickly tried to clean the dirt and grass off the car. My wife and I decided to go into this business and ask the owner if they were notified about what happened to their Lexus SUV. The young lady was not made aware of the situation and was quite concerned due to the car being her bosses car. When we went outside and asked what happened the employees were very dismissive and rude. Insisting no damage was done and that it doesn't matter. After hearing this I asked for a manager and was shocked to find out the employee I was talking to was the manager. I immediately asked for the owners information and was refused. I explained that this was not how you manage a business and asked repeatedly for the owners name and number. The manager [redacted] continued to dry my request until we threatens to call the police regarding this. At which point he was prompt to provide both us and the vehicle driver a copy of the owners number. I called the owner and left him a brief polite message to call me back. He called back and left me a long message on how I had no place to get involved and that he wasn't interested in my complaint nor how his manager acted. We were made aware that it was against policy for the care to be left unattended, bit these things happen sometimes. The poor girl involved was in tears over what her boss would say and the store owner blamed me for telling her about the incident in the first place. I am thoroughly unimpressed with this company's lack of oversight, management, ownership and accountability. I would never trust these people with my car.
