Save your money And if you have insurance, definitely save your money I have insurance, but the convenience of calling from home, lead me to try them again They helped with with a brewing asthma attack in the past But something has changed from last year
My three small children (5,and 2) all had strep throat and I couldn't bring myself to take them out to a waiting room My lymph nodes ballooned, had a an awful sore throat suddenly one morning without other symptoms I called and the doctor asked two questions: 1.) when did the sore throat start and 2.) did I have a fever of over 101.7? The truth was, I didn't have a fever yet, but I knew I caught what the kids had I had taken ibuprofen as well for throat pain My temp was reading 99.7- He didn't ask if I had other cold like symptoms (nope), or if I had been exposed to strep (I had)
He said it was a virus, but....here's the kicker...."I could call back if I have a fever of or higher and he would prescribe me an antibiotic."
But it would be for another $ Sounds like a little scam to me! After all, ibuprofen takes a fever down, on average degrees or more Seems as though, I had a fever, but was already treating it I pushed back, asked if he wanted my other symptoms He didn't ask to see me via webcam, etc Nothing
So I appealed for a second opinion The nursing staff screened the call and felt it was warranted However it's not a second new opinion, it's going back to the same doc and challenging him Needless to say, he stuck to his virus dx
I dragged my kids to a walk in, and sure enough, strep! The doc didn't bat an eye that there wasn't a fever, with or without the ibuprofen I'm currently on Augmenten and feeling better after hours on antibiotics
Save your money, because you might have to pay to see a doctor in person anyway

Called MDLIVE todayPaid $for a consultationI have had strep throat times and every time have had the same symptomsI have a sore throat, upset stomach, chills, no fever yet, but I thought by calling MDLIVE I could skip the taking off work to go to the doctorHuge waste of time and moneyDr*** called me back and becasue I did not have a high fever, white patches on my throat and swollen glands he said I could not have strepI tried to explain that all three times before I went to a doctor and had the test done without white patches, swollen glands and high fever and I had a positive for strepI asked him if those test were lying then? He said he does not like it when people put words in his mouth and that he did not say thatBut that there was no way I could have strepThey would not refund my money and now I will have to actually go to the doctor and spend more moneyIt is kind of a scam to me because you pay your money up front and you don't really know if they will even treat youIf you don't lie and say you have every single symptom that "the critera" says you should have per the doctor, then you are not sickThis doctor said per the criteria for strep I could not have itDon't waste your moneyI called MDLIVE back and they said I paid for the consultationCalled my insurance who this is through and they said there was nothing I could doBut that I could try to appeal it

I was very frustrated with the service I received from the doctor (via MDLive)After seeking advice for my toddler with croup cough, he repeatedly made me feel like my best interest was not for my childI was interrupted multiple times throughout our conversation and when I asked questions the doctor was immediately defensive (as if I was questioning him)Very unsatisfied with the doctor's attitudeA waste of time and money

Web site and app look great, but that is all MDLIVE has going for it. Service is terrible. Scheduled an appointment with a Doctor. They never called or emailed me. After an hour past my appointment with no word from the Doctor, I called Customer service and they said, and I quote " Sorry, I'm just an operator. All I can do is take your name and number and MAYBE some will get back to you." So I waited 4 hrs. Still no contact from a Doctor or any representative at MDLIVE. But they did make sure to charge me $48. Very disappointed in your Service

This company is a joke. MD "Live"? Yeah right, maybe more like MD "tomorrow" or "never." Customer Service has called me three times now assuring me that a doctor will call me in the next 15 minutes. It's now been over 5 hours and I haven't talked to any doctors. In the meantime, I could have just made an appointment with my PCP or go to an urgent care.

I called in on sunday morning. The operator was very nice.Got a call from the Dr. with in minutes. He was very rude and wasnt lisening to anything I was saying. He told me to take sudafed and then HUNG UP on me!!! Never again!

I used the MD Live service in May of 2015. I have no complaints with the service itself (the doctor called me promptly, was professional, and addressed my issue). However, I have a billing issue and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone to address my concerns. When you call the 800 number they say they can only take a message and then someone will call you back. However, I have now call 3 times and have received no call back. My insurance company has frozen my FSA account because of the issue they have with the MD Live claim and I can't get any help from the MD Live customer service department because they won't even call me back.
