Review: On the evening of April 1, 2014, [redacted] came to my home to discuss his written proposal for a bathroom remodel, including installation of a semi-custom window. No contract was signed that night (we verbally agreed to reduce the cost of the proposal), but I game him $3,000 in cash so that he could order the window. Overnight, my wife and I decided against moving forward with the remodel. The next day, at 8am, my wife texted [redacted] and told him that we were not moving forward with the project, and to hold off on ordering the window. She received an immediate response, via text, informing her that the window had not yet been ordered, and that he would return the money to us. Since that time, we have pleaded to have our money returned. Numerous phone calls and text messages have been ignored. During the period between April 2 and today, he twice promised to return the money to us on specific days. However, he failed to pay or even provide an explanation as to why he did not follow through. Recent texts and phone calls have gone ignored.Desired Settlement: $3,000 returned to us
