On July 29, 2019, I purchased software programs and services from *** of *** Data *** for $2,000 in cash. The $2,000 was paid through an e-check issued by my credit union, as shown in Attachment 1. *** Data *** issued a receipt on August 8, 2019 as shown on Attachment 2.
On December 19, 2019, *** brother, contacted me by phone and indicated that they were unable to cash my check for $2,000 and requested I pay $500 to cover a new reduced cost on the July 29, 2019 purchases. On December 19, 2019, I paid *** Data *** $500 by a cash transfer from a *** Store as shown on Attachment 3. The person picking up the $500 was one of *** Data *** employees by the name of *** as I was told by *** This is the name on the Walmart cash transfer as shown on Attachment 3.
On December 23, 2019, I received an email from *** indicating a reduction in the cost to $1,300, as shown on Attachment 4. However, I would have to pay an additional $750 BEFORE receiving my refund of $2,000. The additional $750 plus the $500 I already paid would bring the new reduced cost to $1,300.
On December 23, 2019, I checked with my credit union and learned that the e-check for $2,000 was cashed by MDD Data Solutions on July 30, 2019.

By calling XXX-XXX-XXXX, I told *** that I would not pay an additional $750 until I received my refund or take $1,300 from the $2,500 that I have in my account and refund my balance of $1,200. (My account includes the $2,000 cash paid on July 29, 2019 to *** and the $500 cash paid to *** employee, *** on December 19, 2019.) *** McDonald indicated that their accounting rules would not permit this.

On January 3, 2020, I messaged *** McDonald at the same phone number of XXX-XXX-XXXX and requested the status of my account. He never replied.
