it was discussed with the owner on 09/02/14,that there were too many obstacles in her walls that prevented the wires to befished through the walls, she was given the option of opening a large portionof the walls in order to get the wire to the needed area of the bathroom, theowner declined the walls to be opened, therefore, resulting this portion of thework to not be installedThat portion of the work in our bid was $175.00, Iwill be happy to refund that portion if the owner would like me tooRegardingthe electrical inspection with Polk County: the owner called in the electricalinspection in without notifying us she was doing so, therefore, we were unableto let Polk County know to remove the GFCI outlet in the owners bathroom fromthe electrical permit because owner declined the walls being opened in order toinstall that portion of the workPolk County has been notified and given thereason that portion of the work could not be installedI called and spoke with*** *** the electrical inspector for Polk County about the owners electricalpermit*** stated to me on 07/29/@ 12:pm, that the owner asked *** topass the electrical work, even if he had a correction noted, as she did notwant our company to come back and do a correction, if it was needed***stated to me that he stated to her, he can not pass an electrical inspection,if there is a correction neededI stated to *** the reason the GFCI circuitcould not be installed at the owners home and that it was the owners decisionto not have the walls opened and not have our electricians install that portionof the workRegarding the three times the owner stated she spoke with me: Ihave previously listed dates, times of when I have called the ownerissue 2: Idid not call the owner in February, I stated in our previous response that I calledthe owner on 01/15/and left a message on her answering machine asking if ourcompany could come and look at the way, and the alleged leak, and the outsideoutlet that was installedI did not receive a return phone call from the ownerat anytime as stated on our previous reply of this dispute since 08/27/@1:27pmthe owner did tell me on the phone on 09/22/14, that she would call ouroffice and schedule our company to return to her property in June of whenshe had vacation timeWe did not received a call from her at any time since08/27/The owner has stated in this complaint that we caused a leak at herhouse in her plumbing, but, the other two contractors that were at her houseand did work for her have stated to me there is nothing in their filesregarding any kind of a leakRegarding the issues of the way switch: We cannot state what is going on with this, until we are allowed to come back andtrouble shoot the wayI asked the electrical inspector if he could come tothe owners home at the same time as us, to trouble shoot the wayTheelectrical inspector did state to me that an appointment for him and ourcompany could be arranged to come to the owners house at the same, if the ownerwould allow it

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Most of what owner of business said is not true. I was not contacted 4 times unless you count telephone hang ups.The job was not completed and work that was done was rejected byPolk County  inspector. I have notified the business owner by certified mail that I intend to file a complaint in 30-days against them with Oregon Contractors Board. The work will be inspected by by a State of Oregon inspector.Sincerely,[redacted]

On 08/12/14 the owner contacted our office stating she wanted a bid on some electrical work to be done at her house. On 08/19/14 at 4:57, our office called the owner to look at the work she would like to be done. On 08/25/14 the bid was written and given to owner. On 08/26/14 the owner signed the...

bid, paid ½ down deposit, signed the Consumer protection notice – State of Oregon required form; signed the information notice to owner about construction liens – State of Oregon required form; and the Notice of Procedure – State of Oregon required form, which states that the owner has to: 1. Deliver a written notice of any conditions that you believe are defective to contractor, subcontractor, or supplier that you believe is responsible for the alleged defect. 2. Allow the contractor, subcontractor, supplier, or its agent, to visually inspect the possible defects and also allow the contractor, subcontractor, or supplier to do reasonable testing. 3. Provide the contractor, subcontractor, supplier, or its agent, the opportunity to make an offer to repair or pay the defects, You are not obligated to accept any offer made.
On 09/02/14 the work was scheduled and performed. The items are as follows: 1. Install 1 new (hardwired)wiring for furnace with 1 new service outlet next to furnace; 2. Install 2 outside outlets; 3. Change out owner provided light fixture over sink. 4. Separate TV and computer circuits to make each of them on their own circuits; 5. change 1 outlet in kitchen to quad outlet. 6. Put light over garage on its own switch. 7. Install 1 circuit for bathroom outlet. 8. Change light fixture in bathroom with owner provided light fixture. 9. Change 1 stacked switch out. Please note: in our terms and conditions in the contract that was signed by the owner it states: any and all patching and repairing of walls inside or outside and again at #17, and again at #18 we will not be held responsible if we disturb/dig up/hit/break something that is located in any and all the areas we are working in.
On 09/02/14 the customer paid us the balance of the contract amount, when the work was completed. On 09/10/14 our office called the owner and asked to call in for the electrical inspection. The owner stated on the phone to me that she had originally had a salem heating/plumbing contractor scheduled to do water pic plumbing work – (her words) for a later date, but, she stated she had to hire a local plumbing contractor to come do the work earlier than what was originally scheduled because a water pic was knicked for a sprinkler. I stated the owner that we need to come out immediately and look at the outlet that was installed and the plumbing issue. The owner refused stating “I don’t want to deal with that right now”. I stated to her again that we need to come out asap. On 09/22/14, I received an inspection report for the owner’s electrical permit stating: 1. Provide separate branch circuit w/GFCI protection – Bathroom. 2. Repair 3 way switches in kitchen. I called the owner and stated to her that I didn’t call in for this inspection. She stated that she did. She stated to me that the electrical inspector did NOT go under the house. Please note: (we do know this to be true because this particular electrical inspector does not go under houses or in attics.) I stated to her that we need to come back and check the items on the list and the outside outlet and the alleged plumbing issue. The owner stated to me that she is starting to work full time and doesn’t want to deal with it. She stated to me that she would call our office when she has her vacation in June 2015.
I stated to her I would have to put an extension on the electrical permit if she doesn’t let us come back before February 2015. I have called the owner 4 times since 09/22/14. With the last time being on 01/15/15: left a message stating we really need to come and check the items on the inspection notice the outside outlet that installed and the allegedly punctured water lines. The owner has not called us since 08/27/14 @ 1:27 pm. On the electrical inspectors report there is not any place written that states there is a fire hazard, if the electrical inspector finds an possible electrical fire hazard,  the electrical inspector has to write it on his inspection report and notify us there is a possible fire hazard. On 02/18/15 @ 3:12 pm I emailed the electrical permit office staff and asked for an extension on the electrical permit. On 02/18/15 @ 4;37pm the electrical permit office staff emailed me stating she had extended the electrical permit by 6 months. We have not been notified by phone/email/in writing from the owner at all to come back and look at the plumbing issue, the electrical inspector’s requested items, the outside outlet. When I received this Revdex.com complaint. I stopped by the owner’s house. She did answer the door. I told her who I was that asked if I could look at the outside outlet, she told me no. I stated to her that we need to be able to come look in order to address the concerns. She stated to me that we do shoddy work and she will not allow our company be on her property and that the electrical inspector went under the house and said we did shoddy work. I stated to her that she stated to me on 09/22/14 that she told me he didn’t go under the house.  I stated to her that we need to see and give our side in order to resolved this, because a subcontractor was stating we caused the alleged water line puncture, she did not know what a subcontractor was and I explained to her that it was the heating/plumbing companies she hired. She then stated it was the local plumbing contractor that told her that we punctured her water line. I stated to her that that plumbing company was not onsite the entire time we were working there.  She did raise her voice many times to me and I asked 3 times that she not yell at me. She said I am going to let CCB handle this from this point on. And then shut the door. We would like to look at the plumbing issue and the electrical work we did in order to give our side of the story. But, she has not let us after repeatedly asking from 09/10/14. If you have any questions regarding this response. Please feel free to contact me. Thank you.

PresidentME Electric, Inc.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] is not the plumbing company that discovered the hole in my water pipe. Further, [redacted] never repaired the original leak. [redacted] replaced the plumbing under my house but never pulled a permit to do so. I have contacted [redacted] regarding this.ME Electric did not complete the electrical work that I paid for. ME Electric arrived at my house on the day their were to do my electrical work and their electric tools were not even charged. They had to do so with my electricity. Further, they were a father and son team that bickered the entire time they were in my home. I was relieved when I paid them and they left! The work ME Electric did do was sloppy, left holes in my walls around the three outlets they installed. One light switch they worked on has to be turned on and off in the same location although there are two switches for the fixture located in two separate locations. The fixtures worked fine before they worked on them. Susan E[redacted] admitted they were installed wrong.  ME Electric installed a light fixture I provided  over my sink that faces the window instead of the area it was intended to light. They were contracted to install a safe new electrical line and grounded outlet in my bathroom but they never did the work. The electrical work they did do was rejected by Polk County, September 22, 2014. A reinspection by Polk County is required prior to further approval. There are three times I have had communication with ME Electric.  1. When I told Susan E[redacted] that their work was rejected.  2. When Susan E[redacted] left a message on my phone recorded in February wanting to fix the work they did. We had agreed they would return in June. 3. The following Monday after I contacted The Revdex.com, Susan E[redacted] from ME Electric showed up on my door step uninvited and without an appointment asking to inspect my backyard. Nothing in my back yard shows the pipe that was punctured on the foor in my crawl space. Sincerely,[redacted]
