Review: [redacted] was contracted to complete a renovation on our property at [redacted] North Chesterfield VA. All work was completed in January 2013 and we were very pleased with the end result. During the month of August 2013, the flooring that [redacted] installed began to buckle. Calls were made to [redacted] at the beginning of September 2013 and promises were made that the issue would be resolved. Repeated calls were made with little or no success and [redacted] continued to state , he would have someone come by and look at the floor. As of today, October 7, 2013 [redacted] now states we need to get a [redacted] Floor rep to look at the flooring, not once in the past few weeks has [redacted] or anyone from his company attempted to even look at what the floor was doing. The flooring has places where the floor has raised as much as 5/6 inches, and is a accident waiting to happen - someone could easily trip and become seriously injured. I want [redacted] to come to our house, look at the problem and repair the floor so our house can once again be safe. I suffer with RA and have to be very cautious walking in areas of our house, I am frightened I will experience a fall.Desired Settlement: We wish for the floor to be repaired by [redacted] and the problem resolved.

After speaking with [redacted] from the company on 11/12/13 he stated he has met with [redacted] flooring and [redacted] and is waiting on both companies to decide whether or not they are willing to replace all the boards or just fix the existing problem. He will update the customer as soon as he gets a decision.

The Revdex.com spoke with the business. The business stated that the issues are with materials that were not sent to the job. He has been in contact with [redacted] through this and a date of July 14, 2014 has been picked to have Powhatan Flooring come out with him to resolve the issues the floor is having.

[redacted] called to discuss this complaint. She states that the builder did not install the floors properly and that they can’t be repaired due to the damage done. At no point in doing the work were their materials missing from the job. The business had all the needed materials but installed them incorrectly causing the problems with the floor. There is no meeting scheduled for July 14, 2014 and he has done nothing but give dates to come out and repair the work but never does. At this point he cannot fix the floors they needed to be completely redone due to the incorrect installation.
