Yes, we had sudden thunderstorms all week which caused delays with burialsHowever, *** *** did indeed mention to the family after the service that we were going ahead and bury their family memberThe cemetery was very wet but the rain had stoppedThe family made statements that concerned
meThe family wanted me to disinter their loved one with days notice or they were going to contact their lawyer I agreed to disinter their loved one but only after their attorney contacted me for a full explanationAs of today, their lawyer has not contacted usIn addition, there has been more inches of rain which would make the disinterment a very unpleasant experience for all involved, especially the family We are waiting for a phone call from their attorneyThe ball is in their courtWe regret the misunderstandingWe've never been accused of stealing a casket. Ms. [redacted] came  up to Mrs. [redacted] after the service outside our chapel entrance. She was visiting with another lady. These sudden thunder showers have changed the plans of several services. We regret Ms. [redacted] didn't make a bigger production of it and we have already agreed to Mrs. [redacted]'s request. However, we are requiring her attorney to contact us so we can explain the magnitude, expense and possible results of her request. We are awaiting a phone call from Mrs. [redacted] and her attorney.

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. [redacted] and Ms [redacted] is not telling the truth about what happened. Ms. [redacted] made the statement to many times during a private meeting with me, my sister-in-law and the Ministry that due to the weather my brother Mr. [redacted]'s burial will not take place May 16th and that she would contact us to reschedule his burial. She made the announcement in the family room and also in the chapel towards the end of the services and had the pall barriers to stand behind the casket.  If Ms. [redacted] stated to us/my family we would have stood in the road to watch his burial take place but that was not the case. Every guest that signed the guest book can attest to Ms. [redacted] making that statement.  I addressed this issue to Ms. [redacted] and asked her why she did not contact me as she told my family she would, she stated to me she never said told us that. I felt very insulted and disrespected that Meadowlawn did not carry out our wishes. When I spoke to Mr. [redacted] explaining what his funeral director stated he became very arrogant and rude. I told him that we paid cash for everything and that since they took it upon themselves to bury my brother without contacting me how would he accommodate me to rectify this error made by his funeral director. I feel Meadowlawn did a disservice to us and displayed a discourteous attitude towards our feelings on the lost of my brother. At this point, I have consulted my Attorney to handle this issue with meadowlawn.Regards,[redacted]
