Meadowview Mobile Home Park

I purchased a "remodeled" mobile home from Lancaster Parks and Storage dba Meadowview Mobile Home Park in July 2020. Shortly after moving in, I was getting quotes to have new siding installed. A contractor came to look at the job and found there were rotten studs, making it impossible for the siding to be secured to the home. I went inside and cut a piece of paneling off and found they had paneled right over the rotten wood.
When I looked at the home before I bought it, the manager told me that all of the windows were newer but had leaked and he personally repaired them all. You can clearly see where the repair was done but he just put new wood butted right up to the rotten, moldy, weight bearing support wood. All the rotten moldy wood from where it had leaked is just sitting in there too. That's only under the one window I've uncovered so far. There are 10 windows in this home.
I've been talking with the owner of the park for about a month now. First she tried to belittle me and intimidate me. She agreed to replace the one rotten support only. She said she would not be responsible if I uncovered any other areas. She dismissed my informing her that I would seek help from a lawyer as an idle threat.
After getting fed up with her rude behavior and failure to offer a reasonable solution, I posted a Google review and filed a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection. The owner then came back and agreed to give me my money back. When she sent the agreement to me though, it was considered a buy back and she had included a confidentiality clause with ridiculously strict penalties if I, my kids or anyone related to me disclosed what I had found here! I won't sign it. I'm more than happy to delete my Google review and attach a statement to the complaint with the state saying it was resolved. I will not however, sign anything giving her rights to come back and sue me. I haven't done anything wrong.
They want to keep their scam going. They don't care about the quality of the homes they're selling. They don't care if these homes are healthy environments for kids, the elderly, or anyone for that matter. It's not right and it shouldn't be allowed. It's mostly lower income people that buy here. People without the money to fix them correctly. So they get stuck in these rotten and unsafe homes without the ability to get out. It's sickening.
My purpose of this review is to warn others. I am moving out and having the home fully inspected and tested. Then we'll go to court. I'll keep my Google review going and keep posting the truth wherever I can! Don't fall victim to these dishonest and greedy people!
