Meaningful Connection

I’m filing this complaint against and seeking a partial refund from Meaningful Connections, Incbecause it did not fulfill its service as per our agreement After meeting with owner Fay G [redacted] for an initial consultation, I contracted her dating service, for referrals in months She indicated she had several male clients who met my criteria I soon learned that this wasn’t the case Disappointingly, the first referrals did not meet my criteria This was my first indication that G [redacted] had misled me G [redacted] made a few recommendations for the 4th referral With the exception of one client who contacted me and told me he was homeless, none of the others ever materialized In fact, when I followed up with G [redacted] after each phantom referral, she proffered an improbable excuse/explanation Throughout this process, I checked in with G [redacted] periodically, by phone and by email Sometimes it seemed she dodged my calls When I did speak to her, she said she’d continue to keep me in mind Finally, in December 2016, she told me she had discontinued my membership This was news to me I noticed on Yelp, G [redacted] has a highly unfavorable review which echoes my experience One of the reasons I’m filing this complaint is to prevent others from being cheated by her unsavory or questionable business practicesShe provided misinformation throughout the and half years since we met I paid her $for the initial consultation, and then $for referrals Since she didn’t provide a final referral, I’m requesting a $refund, the ostensible value of a referral I emailed G [redacted] with this request for a refund and invited her contact me by phone or email so we could discuss it Not surprisingly, I haven't heard from her Unlike a legitimate and honest business owner, it seems G [redacted] collects fees without providing a service

She provided misinformation throughout the 2 and half years since we met.  I paid her $350 for the initial consultation, and then $3800 for 4 referrals.  Since she didn’t provide a final referral, I’m requesting a $950 refund, the ostensible value of a referral.  I emailed G[redacted] with this request for a refund and invited her contact me by phone or email so we could discuss it.  Not surprisingly, I haven't heard from her.     Unlike a legitimate and honest business owner, it seems G[redacted] collects fees without providing a service.
