We have received the complaint from [redacted] Customer received her delivery on 1/31/upon delivery customer signed our confirmation delivery slip writing no comments of any inconvenience with the goods delivered to her residence She then called our location at Ewing, NJ, stating that her merchandise was not assembledFurniture Mecca offers service of a private technician who couple of days later was in the Trenton area, we then tried contacting her to sent our technician to assemble this furniture for her, she refused because she was working and stated she would not leave her jobon 3/10/our customer service contacted [redacted] one more time to try and resolve this issue and schedule her for the assembly of this Furniture, she still refused because she will not take off work for us to go and assemble, our customer service even tried giving her the option of choosing date and time to accommodate her, she still refusedFurniture Mecca's priority is to satisfy all our customers and keep them happy, we are trying to resolve this issue but the customer is not giving us the opportunityWe will be glad to go back and assemble [redacted] furniture if she is willing to acceptThank You

Review: I'm writing you because I went to Mecca Furniture in Ewing NJ 08638 on Friday 3/13/15 I purchased over $2000.00 worth of furniture from the store. We made arrangements that they would deliver a reclining couch and a reclining chair on 3/21/15. And the loft bed would be delivered later on when all the pieces came in. I received a phone call from them telling me they would be here at my home today 3/21/15 between 11am and 2pm. I called wondering where my furniture was at 4:30pm and spoke to [redacted] He guaranteed me my furniture was on its way and no later than 7pm now. I called at 7:15pm wondering where my furniture was and coincidentally he's running late and will be here at 8:15pm. It is now 8:30pm on 3/21/15 and I have not received my furniture the store is closed and no one wants to help me. I apparently was taken for my money. I'm trying to make a good home for myself and my young daughter. I'm very disappointed because I had to pay for the delivery and secretly slip [redacted] $100.00 cash to guarantee the price of the furniture. I should have known this was scam.

Review: I went to purchase furniture on Sunday 8/30/15 for my bedroom. I made an agreement for the payment to come out on 9/4/15. I was told by the clerk that once they receive my payment they will setup delivery for the furniture. Their advertisement states they will deliver within 48 hours. Well I was wrong they set my schedule up for Tuesday 9/8/15 because they only deliver Tuesday & Saturday. They didn't deliver on 9/8 stating the truck broke down. They reschedule for Thursday 9/10 but didn't deliver because they didn't order my mattress and no one called to inform me after I left work early to be their for delivery. They end up expediting the delivery for my mattress and reschedule again for Saturday 9/12. While at work on 9/12 I received a call from the driver stating I need to come home in 30 mins to receive my delivery or I will have to reschedule. I left work to meet the driver but then his truck broke down. Furniture Mecca did not accommodate me at all only argued with me and did not attempt to try to deliver the same day. They had already schedule for my order to be delivered for Tuesday 9/15. Once again while at work the driver calls me stating that I need to hurry home because he wants to be done his work day early. On Saturday 9/12 I requested for the driver to arrive around 6 pm. I upset and infuriated. They refuse to give me a refund and did not state they do not accept or give returns once they take your first payment. This Friday 9/14/15 I will be making another payment but still have not received my furniture nor a return. I am disappointed with this company because they did not inform me before I signed a contract nor have signage stating no refunds.Desired Settlement: If this store can not give me a return for my first payment. I would accept a 1 month payment removed from my contract. I agreed to pay $131.00 every 2 weeks. until the payment is fulfilled.

Review: I purchased a $499 couch on 2/16/15

Based on the advertisement stating "Pay $17.31 a week," I asked to apply for credit to see if I qualified. I did. I was told that I would pay the first payment in the store and the balance would be divided into monthly payments. I asked when my card would be charged. I was told on the same date as the initial purchase monthly. I was told that the creditor would e-mail me directly regarding billing.

I received two e-mails from [redacted] and neither identified a payout at the end of the couch payment. Only money payments were outlined through June.

On 2/26/15 I spoke to a representative of [redacted] and was told that upon the last payment In June I owed them an additional $323.75 to sever the contract.

The first representative told me that this agreement could be terminated at the furniture store and I could pay the balance owed for the couch, upon return to Mecca Furniture, I was told that I was on my own with [redacted].

I asked Mecca why he had not fully explained the [redacted] program and payout at the end of furniture payment. He said that he didn't have the time and they would lose business if the program were explained to all customers. I told him that I thought I was applying for credit, not a rent-to-own with payment penalties. He stated that I was on my own.

I called [redacted] back and asked why the $323.75 was never mentioned verbally, via a flyer or in the initlial contracts. No response.

I find it appallingly deceptive to bait customers into a local store with a low price, offer credit and not explain the many strings that are attached. My $499 couch will now cost $851. And all without consent or prior store/ lender notification.Desired Settlement: I want to terminate the contract with [redacted] without a severance fee. I want to pay the couch in full without a termination fee. The receipt states $587.43 of which I paid $105.75.

Review: Purchases a living room set, couch and 2 chairs. The couch was deliveried BROKEN on February 1st. Notified the manager who told me no problem they would be bring me out another one to replace. They call make arrange for it to be deliveried and no one shows. Now I call back and that manager is no longer employed. Call client service and they tell me (when they answer the phone) that they can not help me, need to talk to the manager. No one returns my calls, then went INTO the store again and was told manager can't help me need to call client serivce. I have now been getting the run around for over 1 month. No one wants to step up and help me. The associates that work there are very rude and just walk away from you or hang up the phone when you can. ALL I want is a couch to be delivered to me that is NOT BROKEN.. I need either a replacement or the bill cleared that I do not OWE anything.Desired Settlement: I want a new couch delivered to me or cancel the charges on my credit card. I have missed 3 days of work to be here when they say they are coming and do not show. Plus all the aggravation on trying to get assistance with this issue.

Review: There were numerous instances of miscommunication on the part of Furniture Mecca company and as a result I am requesting that I cancel my credit contract I have with [redacted] In my case. The Delivery Unit fouled up delivery arrangements for furniture I purchased on September. On September 4th, the Delivery Unit arrived at my place and they called me but I did not see the phone ringing as I was downloading things on my phone. When I finally spoke to to the Delivery Unit, the delivery man was asked to assemble furniture inside my house, but one was not helpful. I found the delivery person's behavior both disrespectful and unacceptable as this individual made comments about me not answering my phone when they arrived. I found this to be unprofessional as his comment about me not answering the phone did not address my customer service issue. I called the store back to report this issue with the Delivery Unit and experienced further communications issues. The representative I spoke with about this matter kept cutting me off and saying they don't have time for this. I found this to be unacceptable also as it did not address my complaint about the Delivery Unit. I expect more from a company such as xyz. I walked away from this experience dissatisfied.

The delivery unit had to send out a tower to an entertainment center I purchased. Now it looks like I am missing a second head peice to a tower, that had to be delivered at another date.

I reported missing hardware to a tower. they delivered the missing hardware peices, but it turned out to be the hardware fore the computer desk I purchased. I identified that it was for the computer desk by looking at the product number. The product number listed on the box of the hardware matched the product number for the computer desk. I actually a few days ago reported missing hardware to the computer desk. It turns out that they delivered the hardware for the computer desk instead of the tower. There are more...Desired Settlement: I am no longer comfortable with continuing the contract with Furniture Mecca. I already contacted [redacted] and the are fine with cancelling the contract with furniture Mecca. I am in the beginning stages of the contract, in fact I have not received all the furniture items from furniture Mecca Delivery unit. In fact the delivery unit said they would rather email me any further communication regarding delivery, set up, and to report a problem. I tried to speak with the person over the delivery unit and the representative just continued to request for my phone number. She even said there is no one above her. I told her what about the owner of the company since you do not own the company. I googled many complaints about furniture mecca on the internet and there are many complaints about the delivery and set up, so I am not alone in complaining about the problems that IO experienced with Furniture mecca's delivery unit.
