I am rejecting this response because half of everything he said was a complete lie! The only truth was that yes, I did indeed take my car for a bulb to be placed & he had to check to see where the bulb was atHe never came out & gave me a price after doing so & it did not take him 20/minutes, more like 5-He left out the part about charging me cash because he didn't trust "you's people" I never stormed out & he did all the hollering & cussing! I can get documentation from the dealership of their quite for $He clearly tried to get over because I was a women! He was very rude & was afraid of him which is why I called the police! I have a *** ***, not a ***, *** etc...a bulb that I brought in to get installed myself should not have cost that much & he knows it!
Regards,

January 03, 2017Dear [redacted],[redacted] came to my shop, Mechanic Mike's Auto Repair, on MONDAY NOT SUNDAY, AS STATED BY [redacted], December 18th 2016 to have a bulb installed in her vehicle. Prior to any work being done [redacted] asked how much it would cost and I informed her I would have...

to look as some vehicles have a different installation process than others. I then looked at the vehicle and learned that the bulb was not visible and it would therefore have to be put on a lift. I informed [redacted] of the later and told her I'd take care of her the best I could. She said, "ok" and I pulled her vehicle into one of my bays and put it up on the lift. I then had to pull the right front wheel and inner fender well off in order to install the new bulb, which I did. I then put the inner fender well and wheel back on, put the car down, and came into my office. I then informed [redacted] her vehicle was finished. It took me approximately 20 to 25 minutes to do the job. [redacted] then asked me how much it was going to cost. I informed her it was going to be $85 beings as I had to pull the wheel and inner fender well and put it on the lift. [redacted] then got agitated and told me the dealer said they were only going to charge her $55. Having worked for a few dealerships over the course of several years I knew this to not be true as dealerships usually charge a minimum of $85 plus for the first hour or less NO MATTER THE JOB! To avoid further confrontation agreed to only charge her the $55 as she was supposedly quoted by her dealership, knowing that that couldn't been the case. [redacted] then said the guy down the street said he would only charge $35 and retorted saying I didn't know about that as it wasn't as simple as switching the bulb; it had to be put on the lift and the wheel and inner fender well had to be pulled and re-installed. Therefore I was not willing to accept her claim of such a low quote and that she owed me $55. [redacted] was extremely aggravated at this point and handed me a credit card to charge her balance to. I then informed her her payment could only be cash as I had a gut feeling that she was going to charge back the $55 as it has been done to me a couple times before. Had she charged back the balance she owed me I would have not been paid anything for the services rendered. [redacted] grew even more agitated and ran out the door screaming and yelling, causing a scene out front of my business. To avoid anymore drama, losing any customers and any more confrontation agreed to accept her payment via credit card. [redacted] then paid her balance and left. [redacted] returned ten minutes later with the police, I told them exactly what happened and they left. Any further questions please feel free to call me at ###-###-####.Thank You,Michael F.Owner, Mechanic
