[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

On February 8, 2016, the customer called in with a potential claim regarding the transfer case MBPI sent a third party independent inspector to review the vehicle The inspector said that the vehicle appeared to be run in a low fluid condition which most likely caused the failure The customer would need to do a "tear down" to determine the exact cause The repair shop and/or customer refused to do the tear down (probably because the customer/repair facility would have to pay for the tear down if the repair was not covered) The service contract does not cover mechanical breakdowns caused by inadequate lubricants or fluids MBPI cannot determine the exact cause if there is no tear downMBPI did state that if would cover $of the repair for the seal replacement in order to fix the transfer case but the customer would have to pick up the rest because that damage was done because of the continuous running of the vehicle while in low fluid condition IF the customer wishes to apply this amount towards the new transfer case repair, then she needs to go back to the repair facility as we have already approved that

The customer's complaint is that the valve stems are leaking and that the warning lights are illuminating every to days. The service contract that was purchased by the customer specifically states under the "Exclusions" section the following:14. Damage due to misuse, abuse,
negligence, improper application, improper rotation, valve stem corrosion, valve stem leakage or failure, tire sealants, brake lock up, wheel spinning or torque snags.21. Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning lights/indicators......... As noted above, the complaints from the customer are specifically excluded from the contract that he purchased. Therefore, as the administrator, we denied the claims. As an added note, MBPI did pay about $in claims for this customer about a year ago. MBPI stands by its decision

They gave me an off brand that didn't last a year and a half...there is NO WAY SOMEONE SHOULD BE PUTTING A 3rd transmission on a 2010. I am questioning the quality of He product.. regardless of the warranty life I've talked 2 several mechanics & they have all instructed me to not just sit & take this bc again there is NO WAY I SHOULD NEED ANOTHER TRANSMISSION MANY CARS NEVERE REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION BUT JIS WILL BE THE 3rd one?? I paid them each & every month, not fake money not a decreased value unlike the product I received.

On February 8, 2016, the customer called in with a potential claim regarding the transfer case.  MBPI sent a third party independent inspector to review the vehicle.  The inspector said that the vehicle appeared to be run in a low fluid condition which most likely caused the...

failure.  The customer would need to do a "tear down" to determine the exact cause.  The repair shop and/or customer refused to do the tear down (probably because the customer/repair facility would have to pay for the tear down if the repair was not covered).  The service contract does not cover mechanical breakdowns caused by inadequate lubricants or fluids.  MBPI cannot determine the exact cause if there is no tear down. MBPI did state that if would cover $849.07 of the repair for the seal replacement in order to fix the transfer case but the customer would have to pick up the rest because that damage was done because of the continuous running of the vehicle while in low fluid condition.  IF the customer wishes to apply this amount towards the new transfer case repair, then she needs to go back to the repair facility as we have already approved that.

On 1/11/14, the customer purchased a service contract that expired at 100,000 miles or 2/16/16, whichever came first.  The contract was for a 2010 Chevy Impala that had almost 59,000 miles on it.  MBPI has spent almost $8,000 on repairing this car.In late October, 2015, MBPI authorized a...

transmission to be installed in the vehicle for a cost of over $2,500.  This transmission, from a reputable transmission parts store, had a 2 year or 24,000 mile warranty on it.  On March 20, 2017, the customer brought the car back to the dealership complaining about the transmission.  MBPI called the transmission store and was told that the transmission was no longer in warranty as the mileage had expired by 1,833 miles (even though the two years was not up).  Furthermore, the MBPI service contract had expired by more than 16,000 miles and more than one year ago.  Unfortunately, when the warranties on the parts have expired from a third party and the MBPI service contract has expired, there is nothing else that can be done regarding those items. We have notified the customer on the phone and via letter about our decision.
