I have received the complaint, Steele Collision did indeed bring this vehicle in for rust repairs through ** warranty , all
corners needed to be repaired so the glass had to be removed from the vehicle in order to fix the effected areas, we do not work with glass internally so we contracted out the glass removal to *** , during the removal of the front windshield the glass cracked , which was replaced by *** glass even though ** guidelines states that we are not responsible for breakage which happens fairly often in this repair, so he received a front glass that he should have paid for at no charge to the customerWhen the back glass was put back in the vehicle it was noticed that a tab for the rear defroster was broken off, the glass company tried to repair it , however was not successful, thus they agreed to replace the rear glass for the customer, this glass was tinted with an aftermarket tint that does not come from factory I asked the glass company personally to take it to *** and have the tint done and then install the glass back in the vehicle which I was told would be done by the owner of ***When *** contacted me back to let me know the tint did not match I immediately called the glass company and they informed me then that they had tint there*** grade which was on it and they where able to do it themselves, when I asked about the difference in tint colors he informed me that this tint was new and the side glass was older so fading would occur and may have possibly been cleaned and faded it a little as wellThe professionals at the glass company assure me that this will fade out and it is the right color of tint applied, as it is new and the tint on the side windows is older and has been on the vehicle for some time now, I have no reason not to believe them

Our stand on this is that his rust repairs where completed to *** specifications , we did not charge him for a new window or a back window as per line ** on the ** request form which I will email you.He was also given a rental car while this repair was completed at no charge to him and is not covered by any warrantyTint is not included as replacement and was replaced yet again as a goodwill gesture , thus I feel that Steele Collision has gone above and beyond on having this repair completed with no cost to the customer which you will see in documentation is the customers responsibility, thus why I personally informed *** that we have already done more than we where required and that he should leave his tint and see if it will fade as we where instructed by the professional at ***

First of all the front windshield was cracked on installation as noted by ***I was informed that one of his guys dropped the front window on installation and was going to replace it for me since it was smashed on installation
Secondly, *** from *** informed himself me that one of the guys at steele collision had broken the tab on the original window and thus why it was never working and nobody wanted to take the bill for fixing itAnd *** ended up paying for it
Third my tint is *** tint from *** glass claimed that my tint is purple just so they can blame it for the tint difference*** laughed when I told them that my tint is purple*** guaranteed me that he can match my tint right away which he had full in stockmy tint is less than year old it does not just turn purpleits black *** tintwhat ever *** uses is a different specI wish if they had asked me before they installed itThat would have solved everythingi would have accepted the car with no tintit costs more to remove the old tint and replace it with the correct tint to match
Lastly, when I explained my situation to the general manager *** about what I had went through and how much its been stressing me out about the rear window being broken from steele collision, he simply tells me I dont know if I should believe that!
How is this any of my fault? I never heard any kind of apology not once during my trips to steele collisioneach trip consisted of days, a day to drop the car and a day to pick the car*** I was simply told that my car was working and ready for pick upthat was never true unfortunately

Once again you are accusing me of make fake "allegations".*** Im simply stating the truthand No I will not contact *** to remove the tintI will only accept if my current tint is removed and replaced at ***I dont feel comfortable bringing my car to steele collision again for the 7th trip just to remove the tint only***When I called *** at *** he informed me that with your knowledge he does not send any work to *** everBut ofcourse I was told a lie about *** not having the proper tint as a cover up! Plus why would you replace a cracked window on your expense when I was informed that I had to take the bill if it cracked on removalThe only reason why I didnt pay for it is because when I called to check on the status of my car with *** I was told that the front window was dropped on installation and I had nothing to worry about hence why I was never charged for the front window.***None of the panels fit right in back they all hang down from the many times taken out and back, ***All the trips I made to have my car fixed cost me a alot all the time I had to leave work and lose a full day and overtime pay***

Once again customer is making allegations that had nothing to do with Steele Collision, the customers stated that he would have been happy if the tint was not there rather than what he has, and I have agreed to pay to remove the tint as an offer of resolution to the customer and offered to have him contact the shop manager and he would have the tint removed, now he does not want to return to the facility , As a goodwill gesture he can take his car into *** and have it redone and Steele Collision will absorb the cost to the extent of $*** which we where just quoted by ***, any additional cost over that amount will be the responsibilty of the customer
