I am rejecting this response because:I have already responded to these liesI have talked to Medicare and have reported Medfor Medicare fraud [redacted] told the doctor at the Carmichael location to refuse to treat my back spasms Sept 28th I had a witness with me [redacted] and Medbilled Medicare without providing servicesI am also reporting [redacted] to her superiors for fraudulent activities and unprofessional behaviors

Company did not send refund

I was getting ready to mail her the refund of when my billing office informed me that one of her Medicare visits that we billed for went to her deductible so she actually owes us She also has two outstanding Medicare claims that have not been paid yet and most likely will also go to patient responsibility I am not sending the refund for the 9/visit because she owes us now for other visits where she was seen and Medicare processed as her responsibility The patient has been seen multiple times and two of the MEDlocations

It is difficult to respond in detail due to the constraints of HIPAAWhen someone is allergic to penicillin, there is only a 10% chance they will react to KeflexKeflex was the best drug of choice for the patients diagnosisThe pharmacy did call and speak to our staff regarding changing the
medicationWhen the pharmacist called he did relay to the staff that he felt the patient was completely overreacting but insisting on a new medicationThe doctor did prescribe a new medication for the patientThe patient was given a good exam and medication to treat her problemShe paid for services that were rendered to herWe do bill Medicare so I will look into having this visit billed to the patients MedicareIf Medicare pays for her visit, MEDwill refund her money to herPatient has left me two threatening voicemails and screamed at the clinic manager of the Roseville MEDwhen he tried to call her back

I am rejecting this response because:  This is an outright LIE! I NEVER requested an antibiotic at the Med7 clinic. I NEVER requested an antibiotic from Dr [redacted]. I was there for an EpiPen OR corticosteroid injection for an ALLERGIC REACTION ONLY that I was having. The pharmacist at [redacted] told ME to never take Keflex. I was unaware that Dr [redacted] had even written the script for an antibiotic! HE was the one that was LIVID at Dr [redacted] for writing the script. HE said he was going to call her the next morning. I told him NOT to call her because I never asked for the antibiotic to begin with and I was planning to see Dr [redacted] at another Med7 the next day.  The PHARMACIST insisted he needed to let Dr [redacted] know about her mistake. I never got a call from the pharmacist or Dr [redacted] about the doctor sending in a different antibiotic. All of that is news to me. So, if anyone overreacted as [redacted] claims, it is her with all of her lying.  Dr [redacted] at Med7 in Carmichael was also VERY disgusted with Dr [redacted] when I told him about all of this. Dr [redacted] asked me the same question ''why did Dr [redacted] give you an antibiotic for an allergic reaction?'' I told him the same thing, that I had no idea she wrote that script until the pharmacist told me she had. I told Dr [redacted] that the pharmacist was extremely adamant about NOT filling that script. Dr [redacted] agreed that I should NOT take Keflex and explained in detail why it is so dangerous for people like me. Dr [redacted] was not pleased at all with Dr [redacted] or the terrible treatment I received by the entire staff at the Roseville Med7. Dr [redacted] has known me since 2001. [redacted] is also lying about me ''threatening'' her. I left her a message asking for her to call me back so that I could submit a formal complaint against Med7/Dr [redacted]. She NEVER called me. The Med7 Roseville manager called me for no reason other than to harass me about my complaint against Dr [redacted]. This office manager, Brendan, said that [redacted] told him to call me! He was NOT calling me back as [redacted] claims because I had never called the Med7 to begin with. I told him I did not appreciate him calling and waking me up and to not call again. I did NOT scream at him because I was not even fully awake plus there was no reason for any ''screaming'' as [redacted] claims.  I then left [redacted] another message to let her know I did not appreciate her telling this guy to harass me and that she would be hearing from my lawyer if it continued. [redacted] likes to pass the buck and [redacted] Stofle clearly has a problem with lying. To this day, I am still unable to file a formal complaint with the Med7 corporate office because [redacted] Stofle refuses to return calls and refuses to give the address to file complaints. This Revdex.com complaint is against Dr [redacted] and the Med7 clinic in Roseville. I did NOT receive an exam. Dr [redacted] was in the room less than 2 mins and was looking down/writing things in my file the entire time, PERIOD. I was charged $127 which needs to be refunded since I was lied to by the staff about them not taking Medicare, PERIOD. I have since filed a complaint against Dr [redacted] with the CA Medical Board. So, THEY will be investigating the matter with [redacted] prescribing an antibiotic that was not asked for, was not needed for an allergic reaction nor was it safe for me to take.

Company did not send refund.

I was getting ready to mail her the refund of 127.00 when my billing office informed me that one of her Medicare visits that we billed for went to her deductible so she actually owes us 112.00.  She also has two outstanding Medicare claims that have not been paid yet and most likely will also go to patient responsibility.  I am not sending the refund for the 9/2 visit because she owes us now for other visits where she was seen and Medicare processed as her responsibility.  The patient has been seen multiple times and two of the MED7 locations.

I am rejecting this response because:The receptionist AND the MA did laugh at me, I have TWO witnesses seated next to us. One even commented about how rude those girls were.  The PHARMACIST refused to fill the Keflex script, not me. I have witnesses. Furthermore, even a janitor knows you do NOT give an antibiotic for AN ALLERGIC. REACTION! Did you read that Sherry? ALLERGIC REACTIONFinally, the receptionist LIED about Med7 not  taking medicare so I had to pay out of pocket. Therefore, my $127 will be refunded OR I will take Sherry Stofle to small claims court ALONG with her absurd responses to Revdex.com. Sherry Stofle was NOT there so she does not know what happened. But, my two witnesses DO know.

We have billed the patient’s Medicare before so I am not sure why the patient feels we would not bill it this time.  I am not sure if the patient presented her Medicare card or not.  I have asked the billing department to bill Medicare for her visit on 9/2/14.  I will issue a refund for the 127.00 while we are awaiting payment from Medicare.  The refund should be received within 7 to 10 business days.  I will send it to the address we have on file for the patient.

The clinic manager [redacted]  verified his review on 4/27/15 and
mailed his gift card on 5/5/15.   She also spoke to him when he did come back in and
explained to him that it was mailed. He was not happy but he left. I think he
came one more time.  She...

verified his address and we did not get any returned mail.  What I suspect happened is another family member opened the mail and got the gift card.  We have kept a log and he was mailed a gift card to the address on file that he says is his address on 5/5/15.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
The manager called me to let me know that they would have my gift card ready for me to pick it up and yes I drove by today and my gift card was ready for me. I only had to show my ID.Thank you MED 7 staff and thank you Revdex.com!

Revdex.com:
Good job [redacted]. Nice seeing you at the Carm location the other day. You should feel very lucky, very! IeExpect my $127 ASAP!!! If not, we will go to court and you, [redacted], will lose you job. I have saved ALL of your lies and I am sure your superiors would love to read them and speak to my witnesses.

I am rejecting this response because: I never received the gift card. I need the $25.00 either in the form of a card or a check. I'm willing to go pick it up in order to avoid this problem again. I do not know if the mail delivered to another wrong address or what happened but I haven't received my gift card.

I am rejecting this response because:All of this is a lie. I just spoke to Medicare. I have now reported the Med7 corporation to Medicare for FRAUD. My last visit in Carmichael, they billed Medicare but I did NOT receive treatment. Sherry Stofle was there and heard my name as I checked in . I watched her tell the Dr something while pointing at me. In the exam room, Dr Doan refused treatment (in front of a witness) and has been reported to the CA Medical Board. Medicare is now invistigating Sherry Stofle and Med7.  I will be speaking to Ms [redacted] superiors about her unprofessional behavior. I am also filing in small claims court for my $127 and naming Sherry Stofle specifically.

I am not in the Carmichael clinic.  I am in the corporate office in Roseville.   I am not sure who you are confusing me with.  I was not there on any of your visits.  My name is on a name plate in the lobby of all the clinics so patients know who to contact with any concerns.  Possibly that is why you thought I was in the clinic.  We will respond to Medicare when they contact us and will provide them with the chart notes from all your visits where you were examined and treated.  We would never bill a visit to Medicare if no exam was done.  I will respond to the medical board as well with chart notes should they contact me.

I am rejecting this response because:I have already responded to these lies. I have talked to Medicare and have reported Med7 for Medicare fraud. [redacted] told the doctor at the Carmichael location to refuse to treat my back spasms Sept 28th . I had a witness with me. [redacted] and Med7 billed Medicare without providing services. I am also reporting [redacted] to her superiors for fraudulent activities and unprofessional behaviors.

It is difficult to reply since there are HIPAA privacy rules in place. I will say that this patient's account of the events is not accurate. The receptionist did not laugh at her. Our staff is very professional. Keflex is the drug of choice for the type of circumstance the patient presented with. In someone who is allergic to penicillin, there is only a 10% chance of an allergic reaction to Keflex which is why the medication was prescribed. The Pharmacy did call to get the prescription changed. It is noted in the chart that the pharmacist stated that "the patient was completely overreacting and making claims that our doctor was deliberately trying to cause her to have a reaction from the medication". The medication was changed. The patient never filled the Keflex and never paid for it. She was given a different medication to take. I do not feel there is a need to refund the cost of the visit. The patient was treated and prescribed medication for her symptoms. When the patient did not want the first medication prescribed, the doctor gave her a different prescription.

Review: I was seen at the Med 7 facility located in the Natomas area at the following address: [redacted] on April 23, 2015. While I was at the waiting room I read an ad of a temporary promotion that they were having. The ad was a sign on the wall that said that if you post a positive review on the website Yelp.com, they would send you a $25.00 gift card (twenty five U.S. dollars). I followed all the instructions and posted a positive review under my user name [redacted]. I posted this positive review on April 26, 2015. I went to the Natomas Med 7 facility and gave them all my information including my user name on Yelp. They said I just had to wait. After a few weeks I noticed that I didn't receive anything and went to their Natomas offfice again to inquire about it. They showed me their list which they highlighted all the names of the persons that they had sent the gift card to, and I noticed that my name was not highlighted. I asked to talk to the manager, but they said the manager was busy and that if I leave my phone number they would call me. But the manager never took the time to call me. I went to their office on four different occasions and the same thing happened. I recently went there again in September (I do not remember the exact date) but they girl at the window told me that they had sent my gift card in May, which sounds super suspicious to me because I did not receive any gift card in May and because they were saying that they were going to send it later. So I asked to talk to the manager again and was not available so I gave the girl at the window my phone number again and she promised that this time the manager will call me, but the manager never called me again. So I do not trust them and I think they did not send my gift card in May because so far it is October and I have not received anything.Desired Settlement: I would like them to send my $25.00 U.S.D. gift card because I never received it. In addition, I do not trust them that they actually sent it. I also want to manager to call me and explain why all of this is happening since I followed all the instructions of the promotion that they were running.

I guess we are forced to buy him a second gift card since he denies getting the first one we mailed out.

Review: Went to visit the location in NATOMAS 11/05/2012. Paid my co-pay at the time. I checked carefully at the time that my insurance would cover the rest of the services rendered. In 2014, I recieved a bill from MED-7 Urgent Care Center with an address in Roseville for $448. That's right, well over a year later. The bill states that my insurance paid the bill, and then says "Member's insurance has rescinded thier paymetn stating that the member was not eligible. Please remit payment in full." I contacted my insurance company, they researched it and said, yes, I was covered and MED-7 should NOT be billing me. My insurance has left them multiple messages saying this and so have I. They never answer their phone. My insurance informed me that MED-7 had simply filed their claim too late. So they try to just get the $448 out of me even though NO ONE involved thinks I am actually responsible for it. If they are doing this to me, I am sure they are routinely doing this to other people. This is the very definition of criminal behavior. It is crooked and despicable.Desired Settlement: I would like it in writing that they have cleared my name/account and will stop harrassing me with these fake trumped up bills. I would like the responsible regulatory authority to discipline them for this odious and very criminal practice.

Response:

This letter is in response to the complaint you received from [redacted]. She was seen at the MED7 Urgent Care Center in Natomas on 11/5/12. She checked in and gave the receptionist a UC Davis (UCD) insurance card stated that UCD was her medical group. We treated the patient and billed UCD. UCD made payment to us on 12/6/12.

On 12/10/13, (over a year later) UCD rescinded their payment stating patient was not with UCD at the time of service. We had to send their original payment we had received back to them. They stated patient was with Sierra Nevada Medical Associates Medical Group at the time she was seen at MED7. An attempt was made to bill Sierra Nevada but since the visit was over a year ago, they denied for timely filing. It was not possible for us to file the claim on time since the patient told us she had UCD as her medical group and they paid us and did not rescind payment until over a year later. We cannot timely bill a medical group that we are completely unaware the patient has. As a courtesy to the patient, we are attempting to file an appeal with Sierra Nevada. However, if they deny the appeal the patient is responsible for the services rendered to her.

My billing staff has talked numerous times to the patient, to UCD and to Sierra Nevada so her claim that no one answers the phone is false. The patient also seems upset that the billing address for MED7 is in Roseville when she was seen at the Natomas MED7. We have one central billing office for all our urgent care clinics and that office is in Roseville.

Review: I went to Med7 Roseville due to having a serious allergic reactions/covered in rash/swelling of tongue & throat beginning. The receptionist was rude and could not answer simple questions. She told me they do NOT take Medicare, which they do, so I had to pay CASH $127 for nothing but treated poorly.Dr [redacted] did NOT exam me, glanced at me once, ignored & dismissed everything I was telling her. She refused to give me a severely needed corticosteroid injection for the allergic reaction/full body rash and left the room in less than 2 mins.Once getting my paperwork at the window, The Medical Assistant Laughed hysterically at my rash and illness then when I said that pharmacies are closed at that late hour...her response was ''oh well, too bad (laughing)'' at which point the receptionist also started laughing at me.Once I found a pharmacy 2 towns away, the pharmacist kept asking me ''arent you allergic to penicillin'' I said yes, its there in my file. He said ''did this doctor know?'' I said yes, I had told her TWICE plus its in my Med7 files (since 2001). I was confused and asked him why he was asking. He said the doctor wrote a script for Keflex and people allergic to penicillin should NEVER take this. At which point I told him I went for an allergic reaction not for antibiotics! She never asked me if I wanted any, needed any nor told me she was going to write a script for any. That pharmacist was livid and REFUSED to fill the script, which I am so grateful. If I had gone home and taken even one I would have been in an ambulance! I have already filed a complaint against Dr [redacted] with the CA Medical Board but given the fact that I did NOT receive proper medical attention AND was belittled, laughed at and lied to about Medicare by the staff......I DEMAND my $127 back plus the cost of meds/another doctor/gas/pain and suffering.Desired Settlement: I am owed $127 plus damages for pain and suffering since I had to go to another doctor to get professional medical care.

It is difficult to respond in detail due to the constraints of HIPAA. When someone is allergic to penicillin, there is only a 10% chance they will react to Keflex. Keflex was the best drug of choice for the patients diagnosis. The pharmacy did call and speak to our staff regarding changing the medication. When the pharmacist called he did relay to the staff that he felt the patient was completely overreacting but insisting on a new medication. The doctor did prescribe a new medication for the patient. The patient was given a good exam and medication to treat her problem. She paid for services that were rendered to her. We do bill Medicare so I will look into having this visit billed to the patients Medicare. If Medicare pays for her visit, MED7 will refund her money to her. Patient has left me two threatening voicemails and screamed at the clinic manager of the Roseville MED7 when he tried to call her back.
