[redacted] asked me to provide a response to the above referenced complaint He was out of town when your initial complaint was received, and, in the meantime, I have spoken to Ms [redacted] regarding this matter She purchased items from our store With regard to the cocktail table, it was broken accidentally by our delivery driver We attempted to obtain a replacement table from the factory, but the table has been discontinued She was charged $for the table Because of the delay in resolving this matter, we are prepared to issue her a refund in the amount of $430, double what she paid With regard to the table lamp, we will be delivering Ms [redacted] a new replacement lamp which has been received in our warehouseThe remaining issue pertains to the console table Prior to receiving her complaint, we had already taken the necessary steps to secure a replacement console table from the factory Unfortunately, the table was backordered We kept getting conflicting delivery deadlines from the factory For example, we received an e-mail from the factory that there was an estimated date of 10-15- Based on that e-mail our salesperson told Ms [redacted] that he hoped to deliver the replacement items to Ms [redacted] soon thereafter However, when no merchandise was received I called the factory and was advised that the console table was delayed until 12-5- I attempted to reach the factory on 11-22-and again today, but was unsuccessful due to the Thanksgiving holiday I want to confirm the 12-5-17date, and confirm when Bachman can anticipate receipt of the console table in our warehouse In matters of this nature we are at the mercy of the manufacturer I intend to follow up again on MondayWe have already committed to delivery of the replacement table from the factory Accordingly, we cannot go back on our commitment I’m pointing this out because I received an e-mail from [redacted] on November 13, indicating she wanted to cancel her order for the console table She further has requested that we deliver a refund check to her at the same time we pick up the defective merchandise Unfortunately we cannot agree to that proposal We will, however, deliver a refund check in the amount of $as outlined above at the same time we deliver the replacement console table and lamp We will also be picking up the previously delivered defective merchandise at that timeI’m simultaneously sending a copy of this e-mail to [redacted] We apologize for any inconvenience caused to Ms [redacted] , and hope that our proposal for resolving this matter is acceptable [redacted] Customer Service ManagerBachman Furniture

in the matter of the pcs of Funiture that I purchased over a year ago from Bachman Furniture on 8/26/paid in full when I walked into there store of 1, These pcs where delivered to me damaged on 12/6/ It has been a year to date that Jordan the serv mgr and *** the salesman had given me numerous dates and excuses each time I calledNow you are telling me that you have finally after a full year have taken steps to secure a replacement from the factoryIt should not take a year to replace an item that was damaged at deliveryYour estimated date was 10/and has again moved up to 12/5/weeks later You are now saying the Manufacturer is not responding due to the holidaysIn my response to to that is I was committed back on 8/26/almost a year and a half agoBecause of all the errors your employees have made and excuses they would give me to hope I would just go away it should not be my problem This holiday thing could go on into next year I have tried so hard throughout the year to resolve this order but got no where until now that I took actionIn the matter of giving me double the amount for the damaged cocktail table is very nice gesture due to the delay to replace the damaged items but that does not resolve the replacement of the damaged console table My response or proposal to that is if it is not received by the week of 12/5/and delivered to me within the next weeks after meaning 12/or 12/21/that you pick up the cocktail table and counsel table on 12/21/*** told me you do delivery’s on Thursday in my area with a check in hand for the full amountYou can now instead of dealing with me anymore you can deal with the manufacturer of why it took one year to replace a damaged itemIf the items is delivered by any of these dates I will agree to except the counsel table as long as the piece is not damaged or please pick up both items with a full refund at time of pickup and replace the lamp with the one you have had in your warehouse for monthsThank you, *** *** I think this is fairI should not be responsible for the errors of your employees

I am happy to report that the Console Table With Lights has been received in our warehouse.  Accordingly, I now want to schedule delivery of the console table to your residence, at which time our driver will pick up the previously delivered console table.  In addition, our driver will bring the replacement for the lamp that you purchased and pick up the lamp in your possession.  Finally, since the cocktail table could not be replaced by the manufacturer, we will be issuing a refund check to you in the amount of $215, which check will be handed to you at the time of delivery.  As an additional accommodation to you, Mr. Bachman has agreed to give you an in-store credit in the amount of $300 which can be used by  you or your designee at our store for a future purchase.  The in-store credit is good for one year following the date of this letter.On behalf of Bachman’s, we are very sorry for the amount of time that it took to replace your merchandise; it never should have taken this long. We hope that you and your family will enjoy the replacement items and utilize the $215 payment along with the $300 in-store credit to brighten your holidays.[redacted]

We are prepared to give her a refund of $430 and a lamp and we will bring a new console table to replace the current one and we will take the bad stuff back. Once we receive the items we will contact her with a delivery date.
