Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below While it is true I spoke with [redacted] in December 2014, however, he didn't resolve the issue at that time and told me he'd have to get back with me It wasn't until February, when I received notice I owed money if I wanted to complete the program That is when I immediately contacted both [redacted] and the owner [redacted] [redacted] referred me to [redacted] and acted like I had never talked to her about any of this [redacted] then called me, and he told me I can continue but I would have to submit work and pay the monthly fees to continue When I complained about owing money to continue because I had been in CONSTANT CONTACT WITH HIM AND [redacted] throughout the beginning, including when I first asked for a refund early on (after being in the program for only months), [redacted] backed down and said, "I will have to check to see if we can continue the program and waive the monthly fee" but you will need to be able to submit work I agreed and [redacted] told me he would get back to me by the end of February regarding waiving the fees I told him I would not submit work until I had in writing what we agreed uponI have not heard from [redacted] since. At this point, if the program cannot continue with a reasonable time and no fees, I am asking for at least $back, since that is what I would have gotten months in when I first wanted to leave the program Regards, [redacted]

I feel like the Revdex.com and the student are missing a key piece of information. The student enrolled in June 2012 and should have completed the course December 2013 (18 months later). We give the students an extra 12 months to handle vacations, emergencies, etc. This is an extraordinary amount of extra time and was sufficient for this student to complete her program despite having some personal challenges. I am addressing her two requests for resolution below:Unpaid extensionOur hands are tied in this case. The student had a set time to complete her course. This was stated on her signed enrollment agreement. It was also stated in the course catalogshe agreed to having read. Additionally it was on the learning platform. The student voiced understanding of this when she enrolled in the program and when she submitted leave of absence documentation as the only way to receive the form is to read the page that clearly says “Regular tuition payments and term limits apply during the leave of absence.” Staff has charted multiple times where they stated this policy to her. No matter how often the staff contacted the student to submit work, it just would not happen. RefundThe refund policy is clearly stated on the student’s signed enrollment agreement, in the course catalog the student agreed to having read, and the learning platform. Theabsolute last chance to request a refund was a year after enrollment in June 2013. The student did not request a refund before this date and as per her enrollment agreement, was full invested in the course. Demanding a refund because one has refused to submit work is an unreasonable request. I have submitted a blank enrollment agreement for the student’s course. As you can see on page two the refund policy and term limits are clearly stated. These are policies we are held to by the state of Arizona and we cannot deviate from them. A large missing piece of this discussion is the near-heroic efforts the instructors and staff took with this student to try to get her to submit work. There are copious notes in her chart where multiple instructors and administrators report asking her to submit work going back to 2013 but receiving no response or being told the work would come later. There are also notes stating that the administrators reminded the student of the term limit for her program as well as the potential to be removed from the program for a failure to submit work. Additionally, there are a large number of emails stating similar sentiments with the student having issues ranging from vacations, time off to start a new job, etc. Med-Line will gladly share these with the Revdex.com upon receipt of a signed and notarized statement from the student requesting their release to the Revdex.com. These documents clearly demonstrate the great effort Med-Line took to try to get this student to complete her program and her lack of desire to do so. If the student is unwilling to provide this signed and notarized statement requesting the document release, this case should be closed and removed from our record as the student would be preventing vital information from being given that would clearly establish Med-Line’s exemplary attempts to help this student succeed and her refusal to progress. It is not possible to read this detailed documentation and come away with anything other than the student simply chose to disregard all attempts at success and is now blaming Med-Line for her failure to complete the program. As of today the student has not submitted work in 301 days despite repeated attempts to make this happen. Her statement that she refused to do work unless an unpaid extension was granted is false. Our policies have us cancel a student who does not submit work in a 90-day period, but we worked with her as much as possible to get her back on track, without success. The student has only one option to continue enrollment:1) Make the $150 monthly extension payment before 5/1/20152) Submit a passing assignment before 5/1/2015If both of these conditions are not satisfied, the student will be cancelled from her program for failing to pay the extension fee as well as failure to complete work in a90-day period.

Unfortunately the student took a lot of time off and was not continuing in the program. There are notations on her file as fare back as June 2013 attempting to get her back on track. We offered a leave of absence for her to handle these. In December 2014 when she was  notified that we could not give her another extension for her leave, she was asked to continue her program. She stated to [redacted] Sines via the phone that she would try to submit work. Unfortunately she has done no work since. She asked for a refund and was referred to her contract which stated that after 12 months she was fully committed financially. She became very upset that we would not violate the refund policy stating that it was burned up and in ashes. We referred her to the course catalog and school policy section of our learning portal. We attempted to get her to submit work regularly so we could consider other options for allowing her to continue. She is actually currently still in the program and we are trying our best to get her to submit work, but she has not logged on in over 284 days. [redacted] Sines spoke to her in December and then again in February. She informed him that she would try to submit work in February but definitely by March. Review: I paid in full for online schooling. During this time, I was a year in and had unexpected surgery, my house burned down and I had become very sick during school. I had taken a few leave of absences, and I was in constant contact with the school administrator. I had asked for a refund in November 2013 just after my major surgery. The administrator, [redacted] had talked me out of a refund and urged me to take my time; if I needed an extended leave that was fine. No problem. After the house fire on November 26, 2013, I urged [redacted] that I was unable to continue due to recovery and now my house fire. He again, told me this extended leave would not be a problem. I started back in December/January 2014 and I became very ill, and again I talked to [redacted] about a refund and not continuing at this time. I had too much on my plate, my fiance and I had purchased a home that had many problems (we had to gut the entire home and rebuild) I was still recovering from surgery and getting over being sick. He again urged me to continue and did not want to refund anything.

I talked with [redacted] and said I would start in Feb/March 2015 which he approved. In March 2015 I received an email stating I had to pay $150.00/month if I wished to continue. I contacted [redacted] and the owner [redacted], who both were very rude at this time and told me I had no chance to get anything back because the forms for leave had the information stating the conditions. When I brought up to [redacted] about all the conversations I had with him and all the times I had contacted him to refund my money as far back as 2013, he then told me he would look into waiving the conditions of payments to continue if I would give my word that I would finish the courses by the end of this year, but he would get back to me on this. I told him I would prefer my refund as I had asked since 2013, but if I was not entitled to any refund, I would finish the course. I have not heard from him since the beginning of March 2015. I frustrated because I was always up front with [redacted]/school and even during recovery and a devastating fire I was honest about not being in a place to continue and [redacted] at no time ever said anything about being on a time frame; he ALWAYS told me not to worry they would work with me no matter how long it took to get back into the course, and now it's suddenly a different story.Desired Settlement: I would like either a full refund or the ability to finish the course, by the end of the year without penalty since that was what I was consistently promised.
