Billed me for services I did not request. Although I was cooperative, I specifically stated I did not have insurance for this.A girl entered the room from this office and stated she was there because the Dr requested it Saying my daughter (a 12 yr old) is exaggerated her pain. I said She is not exaggerating her pain, that there is something wrong. She then probed with questions like "how's home life and school life." I explained there was tension between her dad and I but nothing in front of her but that she may pick up on it and that she is bullied in school for the way she was dressed and for being gay. She says "sounds like depression and we should start prozac" I said NO. Hell No. She is in pain" She then stated Well we will be back and do a interview with her with my Supervisor.The Psych MD came with her and asked to interview my daughter alone. (Mind you she is on heavy pain medication for pain related to her upper abdomen (the had scoped her and found her to have Hpylori and failed 1/2 the HIDA exam on the gallbladder) The asked a simple question of have you EVER thought or attempted suicide. because she stated yes That was an automatic trip to a psych hospital for eval after her hospital stay Which I could understand the safety factor but they did not bother to probe further. This whole scenerio caused biased opinions with the staff MD as well as the GI MD. If it werent for them calling a surgeon(3 days later to eval)who then opened her up and scoped, would not have found that her gallbladder was scarred and needed to come out.. My daughter never before nor after "exaggerates pain" When she is in pain she is in pain. Our return visit to the ER after surgery when she had similar pain r/t too much bile dumping we were met with the same attitude sue to this "evaluation" What happened with her psych eval. All because she did not behave like a typical person in pain.
