Medallion Swimming Pools

Review: My husband and I went into Medallion swimming pools in July of 2013, we were interesting in purchasing a pool for our home. We spoke to a young lady named [redacted] for our intial sale, and purchased a [redacted], even though [redacted] really wanted us to consider the [redacted] that only Medallion manufactors(that is double the price of the [redacted], and was very nice). Everything went fine and we were excited, was given the name of 3 contractors to speak with for installation. Had alittle diffculty getting a hold of the contractors Medallion referred, but no big deal, (not Medallion** fault). A few days later after discussion, we did decide to go with [redacted] advice and have the [redacted] installed. Called [redacted] to see what the price difference would be going from the [redacted] to the [redacted], she stated around $1200, once we went to Medallion to make the switch, we were informed by [redacted], that it was a $3100.00 difference, and [redacted] discovered and told us that we were charged twice for the vacum head and thermator when we made out first purchase for the [redacted], the package came with the thermator and vacum head and we also purchased another one, not being told that those itmes would come with the package. She returned those items for us and we decided still go ahead and switch to the [redacted]. At that time [redacted] advised us that it would take an additional day or 2 for the instllation and would be around additinal 500 for installation. When we contacted the contractor, it turned out to be an additinal $1500 for installation and took a week to install. Was also informed by an another source that the [redacted] pools that are sold by Mediallon are very diffcult to install because of the excessive bolts and etc... which makes the price higher. We had also purcahsed the "[redacted]" for the pool and was charged extra for insatlling that as well, even though Mediallon failed to inform us of that extra expense. After reviewing the current invoice for the [redacted] purchase, the total cost of all items did not add up to what the total invoice was, a difference of $356, not knowing at the time that taxes were adjusted but not notated on the invoice, we would have never known if did not call to ask why the prices on the invoice was not adding up . Called Mediallon and spoke with a gentleman named [redacted], who did assist me but, on a few occasion during our conversation he seemed very annoyed and stated that Mediallon did nothing wrong. After apx. a month of having no contractor willing to install the type of pool we purchased, I called and spoke with [redacted] and informed him that the 3 contractors they refered to us, 2 where not returning calls and 1 said he was not going to install that type of pool. [redacted] did get a hold of 1 of the 2 other contractors and an installation did get scheduled. After the pool was installed and we were informed by another source as well, that this pool could have been buit for a much lower price than we paid. We are happy that we have a pool that has a 4 & 6 foot depth but are very unhappy with the price and service we received from Medallion.Desired Settlement: Though not required, since we have received the materials that we purchased, it would be nice to receive some refund for the difference that we were orignally quoted and what was actually charged from the [redacted] to the [redacted].

We reviewed all the invoices and price sheets for this transaction and [redacted] was charged the correct amount. I'm sorry she feels she was quoted incorrectly, however, she was charged the correct amount. She must have misunderstood what the sales person was saying.
