The MedCare Plus office charges $10/page for printing out the discriminated bill which I needed for filing a claim with my health insurance On Jan 7, and Jan 12, I visited the offices of MedCare Plus and paid my copay charges by credit card I filed the receipts with my health care FSA provider, which denied them requesting that I sent a itemized bill, with service/product, date and cost On Feb 7, I contacted the office of MedCare Plus and requested the itemized billI was told it would take a few days, but that it should be ready by Feb or 13, I contacted them again on Feb and I was told that the printout were ready I visited their office around noon to pick up the printoutsAfter being made sign a blank sheet with my name, date and signature I was told there would be a charge for $for the two page printout I refused to pay, saying that it was ludicrous to have to pay for a printout of my own billI requested to speak to [redacted] ***, the owner

I was told it would take a few days, but that it should be ready by Feb 12 or 13, 2016.I contacted them again on Feb 16 and I was told that the printout were ready.I visited their office around noon to pick up the printouts. After being made sign a blank sheet with my name, date and signature I was told there would be a charge for $20 for the two page printout.I refused to pay, saying that it was ludicrous to have to pay for a printout of my own bill. I requested to speak to [redacted], the owner.I was made to wait 5~10 minutes, since she was seeing a patient.After this time had elapsed, Hope, the front office attendant told me that the person who decides on these issues was the office administrator and that that person was not there at the moment. She did offer to give me a 50% discount, only charging $10 for the two pages that I needed to file with my insurance.I did pay this fee and got a receipt that states that I paid $10 for paperwork, dated and stamped.I believe the practice of charging a $10 fee for printing out a bill (one single piece of paper) is an outrageous business practice.I have been a patient for at least 10 years at this office, it is not like we don't have a business relationship.Desired SettlementI would like a refund for the $10 I paid for the printing of my own bill.Business Response It is the policy of MedCare+ to charge for copying, reproducing medical documents, medical records and related materials.Mr. [redacted] can pick up his check from Medcare+
