by *** *** I would like to follow up on the concerns listed by the customer and resolution to date. *** had listed that the issues started with a leaking radiator which was not made aware to the dealer until after repairs were made thus we did not have the opportunity to correct or assist the customer towards repair costs. In regards to the no crank/no start concern we were able to verify the customers complaint on the first visitIt was found that the vehicle was equipped with an aftermarket security system which was shorted out putting the vehicle in theft modeWe advised customer we had to remove security system then retest for additional issuesShe was aware this was a starting point and could not proceed any further until vehicle was returned to factory settingsOnce we removed security system we had to reprogram the key and clear the theft codesOnce this was done we retested and found that the starter would not engageContacted the customer and she decided to replace the starter herselfCustomer advised the dealer she had a family member replace the starter and agreed the starter was faultyAfter the starter repairs *** contacted the dealer stating it would still not startThe vehicle was towed to the dealership and when we went out to inspect it the vehicle started right upWe tried on several different occasions to duplicate the concern however were never able to recreate a no crank/no start event*** came and picked up vehicle and drove for a few days with no issues*** called us back after driving vehicle for a while and stated the concern happened again, it would not start*** stated she then smacked the dash and vehicle started upShe brought is back to the dealer, again we were unable to verify a no start condition over the course of a week and with over starting attemptsAdvised customer and she came to pick up the vehicleWe did refund the customer $she spent on the initial service visit and provided her a vehicle to drive while her car was in the shopAt this time we are unable to verify the customers complaint with it not starting Thank you, Brock W*** Service Manager 765-307-ext
