was seen on 08/10/by Dr***, acct.#*** *** has the $balance(Both accounts are linked together when you look at the patient account view in ***, our EMR.)Assessment: According to *** documentation, the billing department spoke to the sisters' mother *** on 12/12/to clarify any questionsThis was again explained 1/17/to *** (the mom) over the phone but she hung up*** called 2/23/to question the balance, and she again hung up on the billing departmentThe mom is likely confusing the two accounts, because she is insisting that the charge is for ***.Recommendation: Ask the patient for a copy of the bill she received and find out what exactly she believes the error is on that billWe are happy to fix any errorsHowever, our medical records support that we have billed correctly.Regards
