In reply to this customer's complaint, let me state the following facts that weren't included The car that was sold (year old Stratus) went through full inspection (as all our cars do) by a licensed mechanic shopWe have no way of predicting potential future problems with any used car
once driven for an extended period of time (1,Miles)The car overheated as the customer was drivingThe customer called us and the owner himself drove to Livermore to help the customerMeanwhile as we are waiting for the diagnostics, we provided the customer a loaner car to driveWe come to find out that since she tried to keep driving the car, the engine basically blewThis would have been a simple thermostat replacementNext, we offered the customer to replace the Stratus with a newer car (Fusion)The customer test drove the car and she liked it, accepted a new deal for the carAgain, the customer brings the car back with a problem, the repairs took less than minutesWe filled her car with gas as a courtesy and she test drove the car to make sure it's been repairedWe perform a point safety check list on every car we get by a certified mechanicFor your reference please see the attachments provided for both carsWhile we have tried our best to make the customer happy, it doesn't look like we have succeedWe at El Vista strive on making our customers happy and satisfied, our Yelp ratings is the highest in the city and we are proud of itWe are offering this customer to bring the car back and to give her money backAs a matter of fact, we tried to help her by financing the car at our dealership, something we had stopped doing almost years ago. Thank youEl Vista Auto Sales

*** *** purchased from us VW *** on July with 153,miles(AS IS buyer guide) she was so happy to get that car with low payment that she asked for $192./ month.according to all invoices she has show that the first repair she had on this car was after months of the
purchase date all repairs after that were part of routine maintenance that every car required in two years like changing spark plugs, coils, Oxygen sensor,, we tried to call her to see what kind of help we can offer her, she already moved out of the state. We always help our customer when they have any problem first few weeks of the purchase date..but not after two years at this point we can't do any thing regarding this complaint

I am rejecting this response because: when I bought the 2008 dodge it was'nt even 24 hours for me calling back the sales rep. on which his customer service skills could use a class. myself and my mother both made the sales rep aware of the leak and the brakes.further more his statement to me "the check engine light is not on , so the car is fine"  and at that point yes ! he said if I dont want the car I give you your money back! its not that I dont want the because I did or I would of found another way I just dont want to buy a car that needs to go in the shop a day after you buy it. how ever after the owner had reached out to me. I felt open minded and could tell he was a nice man as well as concerned. how ever I feel a the the sales rep who sold me the car failed to mention my complaint or didn't tell him the hole story. I do agree that the owner tryed to make it right but again his employees make him look bad because he is the the own. its not everyday the caliber brakes off and the nuts from the caliber fly off. I have missed work and have been pulled aside from one of my bosses .thats time which makes money for me. I was told not to tow the dodge from San Francisco. from the owner.and he insured me the car would make it. but that was not the case I overheated with my 5 month baby in livermore for more the 4 hours in the heat. at which yes the owner came but I had to cover the tow. Fine. but then I was told it was fixed the next day from the manic only to make it to tracy and stuck again and I had to call and explain to my job. then  the same day I take the ford I didnt even make it home. I had to call a tow truck and that could of killed my child and my self. further more no called to make a plan on getting back so Monday morning I had to call a tow truck. my payments are high as hell each month and I am grateful for them giving me in house financing. but with that said I have still maintained my car note on time.I dont want my money back I want my car. and I want to be reimburse from the tow on the ford. on which now need new rotors and brakes as well as many other things.like the spark plugs that are 4000 miles passes changed the transmission fluid iis the same since it left the ford deanship right there in turlock  the ac also hasn't been properly maintenance. all that and it has has hardly been a month of having the car.

From the messages and receipts I have provided the Revdex.com on my communications with [redacted] the sales representative I was assigned to correspond with, that within a matter of days my car showed signs of major issues and thereafter was a back and forth battle of trying to get my car in working order. I understand that a used car sold as is would require maintenance/ up keep just like any other vehicles would require. However my repairs stated days after the purchase was made and have been ongoing ever since. My car has been un-drivable more that drivable since it has been in possession. Most of my repairs have not been the typical maintenance or upkeep that a purchaser could expect when buying a new or used vehicle. I have had to repair and/or replace the following: With in the first month I had all my electrical redone, within the first month the EPC light was on and my car would shut off while I was driving (almost causing an accident), with in the first month the fuel pump seal needed replacing, from then on I replace all tires within months of having the car (1 including 1 month after having the vehicle), Gas cap, front passenger axel (car had to be towed), fix an oil leak and replace all filters, replace intake valves, 6 hoses related to rot that surround he crank shaft, oxygen sensors (both)(car had to be towed), Coil packs (4) (car had to be towed from out of town), Gas tank gasket (repair shop stated it was the wrong gasket for the car and was not installed correctly), 3 smog’s required to find the problem and pass smog (only after 1 year of owning the car-smog is supposed to be good for 2 years?), high pressure power steering valve was broken (VW dealership evaluated the car and stated it was a slow leak that had been there for a long time). Result of the leaking of power steering fluid the wiring harness needs to be completely redone (1,500 dollar repair that still needs repairing). My tire sensory light is on and have put it in the dealerships shop twice and it still has not been fixed (is in the contract to fix). All these repairs required labor costs in which I spared the information in this letter for the sake of time and consideration by the reader. Most recently I had to tow my car home on June 16th after it just shut off on me while on the freeway. Called El Vista Auto Sales and spoke to [redacted] the sales rep. and was told to tow it to a recognized VW repair shop in my town (Mountain Home Idaho). I was told to pay the estimate and find out what was wrong with the car. I informed [redacted] at a later time (when I could afford time off work, tow fees and the cost of the estimate) that I choose C & A Automotive Repairs in Mountain Home Idaho (via phone and text). I was told okay find out what is wrong and we will take it from there (via phone and text). Once I received the estimate of a broken timing belt with a no interference engine, I let [redacted] know via text what the estimate said and to contact the repair shop owner Lonnie. After 3 days I was contacted by the car repair shop inquiring what was going on. I then contacted El Vista Auto Sales whom informed me that because I had placed a bad review on Yelp prior the agreement with EL Vista that the owner decided not to help me with the repairs. I then contacted the repair shop to let them know the repairs were not in my price range and was having a company tow the car to my house. The owner of the business informed me that they were charging storage fees. I had to pay in a matter of hours for fees and storage or the repair shop was going to take ownership over my vehicle. My messages correspond with what I have stated above. [redacted] has told me over the phone that he understood my frustrations because of all the money and repairs I have done to the car thus far. I do not understand how a dealership can make an agreement and then back out of it. The owner of EL Vista Auto Sales knows of all the trials and tribulations I have been through and even talked with Mr. [redacted] over the phone. He had told me that I should expect all this when I bought a VW with high miles. I cannot stand by such unprofessionalism any longer. I want El Vista to stand by their word and their business by honoring the agreement we had made.
